I don’t see the Lions being cautious at all. About anything. The offence will play at least the first half, maybe even through the third quarter. The caution will be with injured guys, as you say. Maybe some guys or veterans like Reader, Carlton Davis, Levi O., and maybe the Safeties might play even less. It’s a tough situation and almost a no win scenario.
Jeremy has never been more wrong; If the lowly Lions go to their first ever Super Bowl & defeat the QB & HC who will (probably) cement their legacies as the GOATs if they wins their 3rd straight Super Bowls over any other team like the Bills or Ravens or surprise team is an ALL-TIME storyline in all of American Sports lore. You crazy
Erik and Jeremy just don’t get it. People here on POD are much more qualified than Ben Johnson and Dan Campbell to call plays for the Lions offence……where is the damn sarcasm font? Seriously, the unpredictability of the Lions play calling is one of the keys to their success and a breath of fresh air to this long time Lions fan. The days of our opponents knowing what the Lions will do EVERY FREAKING PLAY, are long gone, thank dog.
Bear fans stable? Please Erik. They are absolutely obsessed with hiring Ben Johnson as their next HC. The SB site (WCG) has a picture of Ben with every article that mentions their HC situation….and that was even before Eberflus was fired. It’s just sad.
My two favorite Lions commentators.
Midweek mailbag is by far the best Lions podcast out. Erik and Jeremy are great!
Oh, man. Erik was feeling himself on this one. Jeremy could barely get a word in.
Playing scared has always been a losing mentality
It just worked from time to time

But you’re, it doesn’t change how we feel. It would though change the way the rest of the sports world thinks about it forever.
Those out of touch dudes in the media would rather DC coach like Jonathan Gannon. How that guy gets so little criticism is beyond me
Also, I don’t think DC cares that the front 7 has a lot of practice squad guys at all.
