Thanks for doing this. I gained comfort in seeing someone else have a few problems with them and seeing the growing number of nicks on your fingers as you went along. Good on you and thanks again.

That looks like a really nice little model and you did a great job. It appears to go together just how the Spitfire does. When I built mine, I was worried about forming the fuselage but luckily it went well and I was really pleased with how it turned out.

Liked the video! My wife bought me four of these kits for Christmas, my first attempt will be to make the Spitfire! Wish me luck!

I got mad at the beginning when I bought this set and I did not know what I was doing. I moved on to my plastic model set that I got too. I might try to do this some time else lol.

@animateorange, where did you get your different diameter bending tools? Those looking like a radio antenna? Do they have special names? What to ask for and where? Thx for your answer!

I believe you are talking about the step mandrels. You can find them in the jewelry section of most craft stores. Also you can find them online on places like Amazon. Just search for step mandrels.

To be honest, I came here looking for help. Yet I just watched you put it together with minimal explanation on what you were doing or what part you were working on. "This part is tricky or difficult" are not great descriptions of what you are doing. If this video wasn't meant to help, I would be curious to know what it is for. Don't worry about answering, I won't be back, as I need actual help.

Everything Brad mentioned in the video is helpful to someone. The real question is. Are YOU ready to take on something like this? I believe you are because you're here. Just sit down with the model in front of you, watch Brad's video and be sure to get the 360 degree shot from Metal Earth website. I'm sure you'll do just fine if you relax and think. I have at least 55 models under my belt now and I can (reluctantly) tell you that at least ten of them had help from Loctite superglue gel. I learned a lot from Brad but he can't teach me to be intelligent and patient. These models are delicate and one slip can ruin the whole thing. On most occasions Metal Earth will ship you the broken parts for free (don't even ask me how I know that). That's how proud they are of their product. I know I'm a few years late but, I sure hope you haven't given up this wonderful Hobby.

Why didn’t you take it step by step? I was hoping for help in putting the plane together not just watching you quickly put yours together.

Juan Sifuentes I suppose the best explanation is that making this video is a balancing act. I didn't want to go too slow and end with a really long, over explained video. I typically just touch on difficulty areas where the instructions are not clear or make comments on less than obvious tricks or techniques I use. I did not have a lot to comment on because I felt this model was pretty straight forward and simple. I strive for a balance between too short and too long, between too much info and it being boring and redundant and too little. If there is a specific questions I can address or a specific are that you need more clarification, I still have the raw footage and can try to give more information, possible upload a more detailed clip.

Henry Obert, I had a heart transplant a few months prior to making this video. I was on a high level of anti rejection meds. The meds made me shake.
