The world gave us Michael Jordan and we witnessed his greatness for more than a decade.
But let’s not forget the David Faulk’s, Tim Grover’s, etc that were around Jordan and helped him prepare for the game and his influential impact on not only the game of basketball, but his impact on society.
I’m glad I got to witness it firsthand. I’m even happier that Jordan helped mold my favorite player ever by being a role model, a mentor, and friend. RIP Kobe Bryant.
Where were those guys before Jordan?
@@austinroccaro2219 you clearly missed the point smh
Faulk has to have some of the best stories in sports.
"Security has a price " . What a profound statement!. The constant pursuit of security keeps us from reaching our full potential.
where is the profound?... welcome to the world
Man, these MJ/The Last Dance interviews are great. I could do a Top 10 on the interviews alone.
This was nothing short of excellent
This was one of the best! I enjoyed it as much as you did while listening to David Falk! Thank you Colin! Keep up the GREAT work!
What a great interview. I lived through MJ's era and it was unbelievable. Always heard of David Falk but never knew anything about him other than he was MJ's agent and as kids we all thought, what a lucky guy to be MJ's agent.
Falk needs to come out with a Book, strictly on his relationship with the players. Please do it. We want to hear all these great back stories of MJ and the other athletes that he represented. Especially all the good stuff.
Falk is great. He always got 7ft white guys 1 million dollars a year regardless of whether they could play or not. He’s the all time greatest agent, and I live in the same neighborhood as Bill Duffy who is a hall of Fame agent himself.
David Falk earned the honor to be in the sports agent hall of fame - if there ever was one. Michael Jordan's rise to fame came at the perfect timing - during the period of globalization through social media. I remember waking up in the morning in Malaysia (12 hours difference vs USA), skipping classes just to watch the Chicago Bulls play in the playoffs and finals. I watched MJ's game winning shot at the buzzer in Game 1 of NBA Finals Vs Jazz. I remember MJ taking his last shot ever as a Bulls with the great extension of his arm. Every NBA finals came with a historic moment for MJ. No player will ever equal that. I idolize him growing up. When I came to the US to study, I went to the Chicago Bulls stadium to take pictures with his statue. I studied his game over and over and played with MJ's passion even as a recreational sport. MJ was my hero growing up and I still follow some of his principles from his motivational quotes. Watching David Falk speak of a young boy that came to him in China asking him if he was MJ's agent - would have been me if he was in Malaysia when I was in my youth back in 1998. Thank you David Falk for being MJ's agent, otherwise there may NOT be the Air Jordan brand.
"There may be players who come along who are more talented than Michael Jordan..." Really? like who? just curious.
What a great interview! I dream working for David Falk. Soooo smart! I can listen to him all day
Great interview! The legend of the GOAT continues unmatched.
Michael Jordan .THE MAN ...
The fly on wall, hearing these stories.... Amazing👍
Great interview. Very humble
I think Colin watching the last dance changed the way he views MJ now.
I met David Falk on the Red Line in DC, in Chinatown, cool ass dude. (DCOG)
Awesome interview - need more like this!!!
That was excellent interview!
I’m glad I saw Michael play. 💯
Lucky lol
That was a pretty good interview.
That was amazing
Jordan had a great agent! Loyal!
Great interview. Thank you
Chuck Taylor was the first basketball player with his own shoe
14:21 Let me ask you a question that even to this day would ruin your reputation and business and cause possible legal problems. Hahahah, this interviewer. Classic.
The near panic in David's voice. All I heard was, "Why would you ever ask that question in that way?"
Interesting. He mentions Spot Bilt with OJ Simpson. I didn't know that brand was around that long ago, I remember them in th e 80s. Good shoes. I had a pair of their basketball high tops, and one of the soccer cleats. Good brand, but they ran out of gas. Never got that bug ticket endorsement I guess, so Saucony discontinued it and went back to running. One of these podcasts mentioned Jordan considering Spot Bilt, but they couldn't reach his asking price. Interesting what if in sports business if they had.m
Around the Horn? Ha that's ESPN bud...
That quote is from Rudyard Kilpings "IF" poem, not the other guy hes talking about
Why no mention of Sonny Vacarro? He made it happen to get Michael .....and was one of 3 people in the room when the original contract with Nike was signed. The others were Rob Strasser of Nike and Michael Jordan. Over the next 8 or 9 yrs it was Sonny who was with Michael everywhere. They were tight! Inseparable, Sonny even often spent the night with Jordan his wife and family in Chicago. Until Nike fired him in like 92
The Herd, not Around the Horn
We should all turn off the Herd every time Doug Gottlieb gets on
Jordan never needed money from his NBA contract. The phenomena of the Nike Air Jordan shoes was all he needed. He still makes over $100 million/year from Nike.
this guy was very impressive
Around the horn 🤣
I like that white man David Falk!!
No what i realized, people argue about this goat debate just to argue. No need facts every where. MJ23
lolol he sounds like agent 47 mann
Colin let that dude say bullshit
Jordan is the greatest because he took advice and learned.
Lebron, listens to no one......distant #2
