It was great meeting you there Martin! I couldn't agree more about the safety, ease of getting into Oshkosh , and fellowship from everyone involved. I would encourage even rookie pilots to give this a try. I had my PPL for 3 months when I did the mass arrival with Cessnas2Oshkosh and due to the training and focus on safety it was a super simple flight. My wife was worried about what I would eat camping for a week. Let me tell ya, the food was fantastic and I ate better there than I do at home! Thanks Martin & Thanks to the C2O folks, I can't wait for 2022!
Great camaraderie amongst the Cessna pilots(of course you Bonanza guys do as well). A very well planned, safe event. Kudos to the team organizing this. Fun for you to partake. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Roman. The C2OSH folks are a great group - I hope you can join them. Don't wait to long as they will have training events before Oshkosh. - Martin
Than you - glad I could share some of the Oshkosh highlights with everyone. Now I am out of AirVenture material and have to wait until July 2022. - Martin
I have flown a few formation flights. Some doing skydive operations but my favorite one was when I flew formation with a Cessna 172 while flying a Piper Geronimo. I have video of that one.
Very-well done. The type-groups are certainly enhancing the overall safety, and efficiency of large-scale aviation events. Are there folks with a similar approach to Sun’n’Fun? Thanks, Martin. All the best for 2022! ✈️😎👍
G,day Martin from Sydney Australia. Flying in a Cessna: Bonanza loyalty? Merry Christmas and thankyou for your educational training and flying adventures. 🎄🎆🌏
I have thought about Pipers2OSH but have been intimidated by formation flying. 2021 I ended up getting in line at Portage, WI due to density at the FISKE arrival. That is 12 nm south of Endeavor Bridge and made for over an hour route in. The formation opportunity to beat that is enticing!
The way I think about it is the mass formation arrivals take a lot more time to prepare and train, but once you have done that, the flight itself is pretty straightforward and without surprises. FISK is kind of the other way around. - Martin
The concept still applies for much smaller groups. A flight of 2 or 3 aircraft can join the FISK arrival to ensure they get parked together during AirVenture. - Martin
@@martinpauly Yeah. But inverted negative 4G dives are not encouraged in those Cessnas, top secret or otherwise. Nor do they have a blonde bombshell astrophysicist giving the briefing. And the ginormous US flag in the background is also missing. 😄

Great to meet you and all the other pilots as well, Kevin. And thank you again for sharing your audio recording with me for this video.

Thank you for sharing. Great segment.
First trip to Osh as a Canadian and I cant wait to do it again! great to meet you also Martin.
Thanks, Lisa - same here, I can't wait to see what AirVenture 2022 brings!

Professional video that accurately reflects the experience and the camaraderie.
Thanks, Sydney - I am glad I had an opportunity to capture this and hope it will attract more pilots to the event in the future.

Martin, your videos are always great. I hope to fly my 1964 Cessna 150D to Oshkosh 2023 and join up with these fine folks.

Always a great “Martin Pauly” video. 👍
Thank you 😁
This is about the coolest thing I've ever seen :)
This was really cool to see thanks for sharing it with us all Martin.
Glad you enjoyed it, Kevin.

Hi Mike - thanks for the kind feedback. I do not know of anything similar for Sun 'n Fun.

No Bonanzas were harmed in the making of this video, John.

Hopefully one day I’ll be in the Group

Now I know why the Cardinal market is going fast
Would love to do this but I doubt a Diamonds to Oshkosh could muster more than a dozen airplanes.

@@martinpauly Unfortunately, you lose the main advantage of skipping the FISK arrival. How many planes do you estimate would be needed to go direct?
@@da40fan27 No clue. That's a question for EAA, not for me.
I always though that a Cardinal RG with a turboed 520 would make a great plane!
I think you are right, John.

Haha, unlike in Top Gun, these guys actually do real briefings in a hangar!
Good point 😁

@@petrairene Yes. I could see C2OSH becoming an even bigger event if someone like Charlie from Top Gun gave the briefing! 🤣
@@martinpauly Because the majority of hobby aviators are male? What about the heterosexual female pilots?🤔
@@petrairene How about Maverick/Tom Cruise for them?

Nice video, but the MUSIC IS TOO LOUD !
😄
What about Vegan food 😛🌱
Not sure about Cessna group food, but food at AirVenture is horrible if you care what you eat. Disappointing in 21st century.
@@joeh773 yeah. 21st century and we can't get good food! Disappointed with some humans 😆
@@fu6461 1st world problems for sure. Less and less healthy 1st world, due to that food ;)
