While some view bushcrafting as more about survival, it is all about developing a relationship with nature. To live off the land and enjoy all it has to offer, the right tools and gear are essential. Bushcrafting is not for the faint of heart and is certainly not for the ill-prepared.
For those who have never heard of Bushcraft, it includes the skills of fire-building, foraging for edible vegetables and fruits, hunting, wood crafting, twine making, camp crafting, water preparation, and food preparation in the wild.
When it comes to being able to enjoy bushcrafting in the wild, it is important you understand the need for owning the best bushcraft gear. With this guide, you will learn about some of the tools and gear that are considered essential for any bush crafter who wants to challenge themselves to live off the land and not only survive, but thrive.
Bushcraft gear is the group of tools we first invented as a species. The gear we first crafted from sticks, stones, and bones found in nature. In order to make knives, arrows, spears, fire, shelters, etc. The best bushcraft gear is the tools that give the ability to make a large array of other tools. For example, having a bushcraft knife opens up a world of possibilities to build hundreds of other useful tools and items. Before humans became advanced engineers and scientists, we played by the rules of nature. If you go back far enough in history, survival was an everyday endeavor; it was the only lifestyle we knew. Living in those circumstances required a very particular set of tools and skills. What we today call bushcraft. ********************************************************************

Nice video and very informative and very entertaining and very satisfaction more videos.
Do you know what bushcraft is
Problem with this kind of video's is that almost everything in it is currently onavailable on Amazon, at least in Europe :-\
ESSE and Chris Reeve are my favorite Fixed Blades . ESSE 4 is a classic and they now have ESSE 4 S35VN.
Hey guys if some of you are using the silky nata hatchet then i would recommend the coldsteel barong. It basically the same but with a pointed tip
Thanks for your recommendation!!!
Thank you for sharing your bushcraft items, they seem so cool and useful :)
I like Silky Nata hatchet. Good choice of bushcraft gear and tools
I do have a Schrade knife, but not the one in this video...
I have the : Schrade SCHF45 Leroy Full Tang Bowie Fixed Blade Knife and I love it! I do most my bushcraft work with this knife. I do also use a folding saw and a small knife for some jobs, but not near as much as what I do with this _BIG_ knife.
A modern crossbow in a bushcraft gear video? Are you flipping serious? And it took up a third of the video. Can anyone guess who sponsored this video? The CRKT hatchet and Schrade knife were the only legitimate bushcraft items in this video.
Awesome
The NATA. Like the design. I wish the blade was longer so you can get more power behind your thrusts.
The Nordic Pocket Saw. All I could think was how much energy you would consume trying to use this saw. Everything I think I would need it for in a campsite, I'd think a axe, hatchet, or machete would be more appropriate for. Anything bigger, and the last thing I'd want to do is to use this single person hand saw to cut it with. It could serve a purpose in a Oh #$%^ moment, but I can't help but think you spend the entire time using it cussing due to the amount of work it takes to complete that one task.
The chogan. Nice design but I can't help but think vibrations from use would cause the forge head to slide down the hickory shaft. Tap it a few times to replace the handle? Well then it would only take a few taps to knock it off too. The irony is that they made the axe head pretty thick near the handle and it looks specifically made to be hit on to force the head further up the shaft. But this isn't portrayed in the video.
The Silky Pocketboy. This one I really don't get. Three inch max cut? Use an axe or machete. Go with a full size Silky instead. Get more leverage and deeper cuts and not much compromised in weight or size since the blade collapses into the handle.
Pivot Plus looks good. But not available on Amazon currently.
Schrade SCHF59 is cheaper than many durable survival knives on the market. Definite bonus.
I got a Schrade knife at a pawn shop. Now I have three knives, and two hatchets. Thick and durable steel, but whoever edges them can't use a jig. They'll have different angles along the blade, and on each side. If you can correct that they're great.
you need to get more hatchets and knives! can't have enough spread around the house, car, and outbuildings. I probably have 5 or 6 hatchets and axes and at least 30 knives. get more! yard sales and flea markets
@@allennundel6532 I meant Schrade specifically. I have several axes for different uses, and some spare hatchets I got when a pawn shop closed down years ago.
There are a lot of tools out there. You just have to ask one question when making a selection...would I trust this tool with my life? Make wise choices.
That’s why two is one and one is none. I don’t trust any single tool with my life, haha if I can afford it I prefer having 3 versions of everything/copies.
as far as I concern Khukri is the best ever if have idea and experience to use
Your post shows the Helle Utvaer but it is not in the video
It’s called rat race to draw folks in to buy crap on Amazon.
🔥
Thanks for watching and hope you liked my 2021 bushcraft gear selection!
your videos are very good thank you!
It's awesome gear. I love all it keep going my friend 😘😘👍🌹
Thanks a lot for your comments and really glad you like my videos!!!
@@survivalgearofficial Thank you my dear friend. I have a question for you ? Did you have telegram
its just a bunch of adds strung together......WITH RUclips ADDS!
I need leather set in the thumbnail
Gloves?
Where is the axe in the thumbnail?
The amount of sparks from this firesteel is pathetic!
Where is the stuff on the thumbnail?
And nothing from the thumbnail was listed, which is why I clicked. I wanted to see that stuff.
I bought that made in China Schrade 59 and the blade broke on my first use. I returned if for a Benchmade 162👍
Top 10 best bushcraft backpacks
Lol bushcraft is a skill not a certain set or brand of garment or gear. You are just a poser.
BEN!!!

i know, i was so happy to hear his voice lol.
What Has a crossbow to Do with Bushcraft
A crossbow is good for hunting game if you will be out in the bush for a few weeks…
A crossbow can also be used for defensive purposes if necessary… sometimes a nearly-silent arrow is better than a loud gunshot when you’re outnumbered and being chased / stalked by a group of hostile people who are looking for resources to survive (think post-apocalypse) or you happen to get approached by some psychopath in the woods that’s looking for another victim.
The Silky Nata is basically a rebranded parang. I can buy a Condor parang for half the price. Love Silky saws, but the Nata is pure style over substance. 100 million Asian plantation workers cant be wrong.
Its geometry is more like a kukri than a parang
crossbow?
Why a helle knife in the pic but not in vid
👍🏻
They didn't include the most important survival item. Gorilla glue
You are picking up 10 ads and putting them one after the other. How is that a top 10?

TOOLS don’t mean Shiit in terms of survival.
KNOWLEDGE is god. Learn and then buy tools to match your skills.
What’s your point?
@@alteredstateskustom you can have EVERY tool possible and each is the BEST possible but if you Don know how to use it YOU WASTED MONEY.
Is this channel an AI bot?
Other than the Silky saw, most of this crap is a waste of money.
Once again, the video only covered eight, not ten (per the title), items. This frustrating behavior has prompted me to unsubscribe.
And how is the crossbow a bushcraft item?
And nothing from the thumbnail was listed
Clicked on this cause it had my favorute knife as a click bait..no knife thumbs down
Ben from Blade HQ talking about the CRKT..Schrade sucks
..
Click bait!!!
Why do you show a thumbnail which features items you are not promoting !
Most of these products are just more gimmicky rubbish.
ALL junk accept for the Silky saw
great tools but i am giving a thumbs down for lazy , poor delivery
New Schrade is Chinese made and not a product to count on. Get a Jeff White hand made knife instead.
Lol Amazon and senseless consumerism. Try some real bushcraft not poser material..
