    Eating grass makes them bring up the furrballs.

    Don't forget to feed the crops now they're producing fruits.
    Also, those fly traps are taking away food for other animals. Just bear that in mind.
    Put an ultra- violet zapper in the house if they're bothering you indoors.

    Vet check for hairballs with Bo, could be anything and get him neutered at the same time. Seriously, if you care about him, research the pros of having cats neutered and spayed.

    Vinegar and water or dish soap and water keeps caterpillars and other bugs off your plants.
    Feed Beau a small can of Tuna or Sardines, the oil will help him bring up the hairball. The oil in the fish lines his throat and helps.

    Get yourself a 2 gallon watering can and a bottle of liquid tomato food and water your raised bed garden with it it every 2 weeks in the season- tomato feed will also be ok on all your fruit and veg (and the weeds unfortunately). Your tomato will love all the water you can give them. You will need to net your strawberries and blackcurrants before they ripen or the birds will eat them all before you even know they are ripe for picking!

    Unless bo is showing signs of distress , from the hair ball.
    Its likely to be solved via cat . To help ,feed bo ,if possible he will eat , wet cat food and leave plenty of water around
    Moisture decreases hairball likelyness.
    If bo seems distressed a vet is the next stop .
    Our cats would eat grass and puke it back up.which grass also helps aid cats digestion system.
    P.s. hey JT and Anna . Good to see results on planted crops ,as such.
    As for some of the worried comments on bo , cruel to be kind , how did cats survive with out vets !!

  • @MikeM-n1v
    @MikeM-n1v 3 месяца назад +1

    Many pet stores now sell special hairball control cat foods that are specifically designed to reduce the number of hairballs cats experience. These formulas usually contain extra fiber, which helps pass the fur through the digestive system more easily. They may also contain additional vitamins and minerals that help keep coats healthy and free from mats.

    Before planting mint...remember that mint takes over a property like nothing... I have a few friends who thought it was all right to plant the mint in a planter with a ten foot barrier of comcrete underneath... He had peppermint and catmint (aka catnip) for about 25 years after he planted it... Had he just used hanging baskets/floating window sill garden...he would have had a lot less to worry about...but every cat within smelling distance was visiting him...

    An old fashioned fly/ bug trap - take an old jam jar; put a teaspoon of jam in it and half fill with water. Put the lid on and shake well. Punch a hole in the lid a little under 1/2 inch wide. Place the jar near anything you want to keep the bugs off. It works the same as the ones you bought but costs next to nothing.
