I can't agree more. I picked it up today at B&N and came home and popped it in my player. I was blown away because I've seen this film many times, but today, it was like seeing it for the 1st time. The detail in the clothes and Vandamm's home furnishings. I never noticed so many things before!
Good review! The Blu-ray was already one of the best Legacy Titles in my Collection. Can't wait for the Collector's Edition to arrive from England next week!

I'm eager to receive my pre-ordered copy tomorrow! Let me note that all prior editions, DVD & blu-ray have all been EXCELLENT, the big upgrade I'm eager to feast on is the new Atmos mix. Do I dare to speculate that we've now wrung every possible AV improvement from this venerable classic?
With regard to the Atmos mix, didn't VistaVision releases already get a 6-track magnetic mix as part of their original releases? In which case, it would NOT have been necessary to split a mono track into all those channels. Plus, additional sound-FX were no doubt recorded and mixed in to augment that 6-track.
