    You`re in for a rollercoaster! 😁
And yes, I mean that rabbit hole that is experiencing Jinjer. And no, it is not only getting to know a new band. But yes, it is almost every single song from them: A rollercoaster - you never know what comes next and unlike rollercoaster you never know where you`ll come out again: If you think you know their system they simply change it... 😁🤘
    I love that band! 🤩
(...and no, I´m not one of the guys Tatiana is talking about in "Call me a Symbol" 🙃)

They are from Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, and are now back on tour after the guys were recently allowed to leave Kiev.
Tatiana is mostly self taught and can easily switch back and forth between clean and harsh vocals. Roman (guitar), Eugene (bass), and Vlad (drums) are all outstanding musicians. Vlad is classically trained on the piano.
The guys write the music and then hand it of to Tati for lyrics.
The whole Wallflowers album is good. My favorite is track #3 Vortex.
Most get started on Jinjer with the live session of their song Pisces. You'll see why when you get to it. And I'm sure you'll find the lyrics interesting.

🔥Pandora, I just found your channel with your awesome reaction to Disclosure! (and subbed of course!)
Welcome to Jinjer! Thank you for bringing the fantastic genre twisting music of Jinjer to more people! I love their energy, how tight they are, how down to earth they are, the heaviness mixed with complexity and groove, beautiful singing and beautiful growling and especially Tatiana's lyrics!
The first time I heard Pisces in 2019, I hadn't liked any metal with growling and it took me a few listens to start liking it, but now Tatiana is my favorite vocalist and Jinjer my favorite band (Pisces has been my wakeup alarm for a couple years and I still love it more every time I hear it).
TLDR: skip to the last paragraph 😂
Sorry for the very long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs!
My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and "that was more unexpected than my first child" 🤣
I love the story of Tatiana getting interested in learning to growl. In her own words, "I was inspired by Otep (Shamaya). When I was 15, my friend showed me a record of House of Secrets. I was like, ‘That dude - his voice is so powerful. And he said, ‘Oh come on Tatiana, that’s actually a woman!’ I was like, ‘What?’ She blew my mind. That was the time, the moment when I realized I wanted to shock people just like her. I just had the feeling or the intuition, like an extra sense that this is what I’m made to do.”
The four current members had essentially no musical training (or very little) when they joined Jinjer, except for Vlad the drummer who studied classical piano. They've been a tour heavy band, on the road almost nonstop from 2013 to 2020 and still touring again since the covid shutdowns, hard work that has made them fantastic live and they make it look effortless. For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies (she gets tons of well deserved credit for her vocal and stage performance abilities, but maybe not quite enough for her lyrical and musical composition abilities). Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, so he's a huge part of the beautiful sound of Jinjer, but Vlad the drummer (who also plays guitar and piano, but so far not in most Jinjer songs - I think he played piano in lainnereP) has been writing more of it and wrote nine of the eleven songs for the newest album Wallflowers, videos are out for Vortex, Mediator, Wallflower, Disclosure!, and Call Me A Symbol. Eugene composes some - he wrote the instrument music for one song on Wallflowers and a few songs on other albums, and I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and has written lyrics for a few Jinjer songs.
The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine in 2009 as a group of three (then five) with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band when Tatiana replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar 2009/2010), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they've considered their road sound engineer Sasha to be a fifth member). I think they're still friends with all the former members and you can see former Jinjer guitarist turned actor, Dmitry Oksen, on guitar in older Jinjer videos, and acting as an interrogator in one of their newer videos, Disclosure! (as you saw in your newer reaction)
One of the things I love most about Jinjer is the messages in Tatiana's lyrics and the way she combines her beautiful growling and beautiful singing with Jinjer's fantastic instrumentals to be so powerful for expressing the anger and pain in those messages: the anti-war message in Home Back, the anti-greed in On The Top, Mediator and No Hoard Of Value (also the horror of the coal mining industry in their home Ukraine), the protest song Who Is Gonna Be The One, the anti-fascism of Sit Stay Roll Over, the anger at people being narrow minded in Teacher Teacher and Judgment & Punishment, the struggles with mental health in Pit Of Consciousness, Vortex, Wallflower and Perennial, the giving voice to mother nature angry at humanity for letting capitalism destroy her in a bunch of songs like Ape, The Prophecy, Cloud Factory, Noah, Outlander, Dip A Sail and Bad Water. Other favorites of mine are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, When Two Empires Collide, lainnereP, Prologue and Beggar's Dance (those last two are short album bookends that might do well together in one reaction).
I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them (I LOVE that you're planning to do the whole Wallflowers album! I get choked up every time I hear their heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back), but, for earlier Jinjer, a few good choices might be Pisces (live session with some backing tracks), Perennial (official and/or live at Wacken, both are must-see), Teacher Teacher (official), Judgement & Punishment (official and/or Tatiana's one take performance, again both must-see), Pit of Consciousness (official and/or live in Kiev/Kyiv, a third where both are absolutely must-see). Note that because Jinjer has so many great official videos and so many astounding live performance videos, no Jinjer fan will ever mind if you react to a second video for a Jinjer song you've already heard, so whichever songs you choose, whatever pace you like: I can see you'll keep trying more Jinjer and enjoy! ❤🖤🤘

This is their current opener in concert. It's kinda a prep to the madness that is going to follow. They are a predominantly a live band, but their discography is amazing.

Woaw are you doing the whole album 😀?
My favorites are Vortex, Wallflower, Mediator, As I Boil Ice, Sleep Of The Righteous, Pearls & Swine.
This is the first album mainly composed by Vlad (drummer). I find it more heavy compared to previous ones, so you might want to check some older songs at some point as well 🙂
Vlad is the last member to join the group in 2016, they had a few drummers before him.
    Welcome to Jinjer!

Woohoo, yet another band I like! Titania is an absolute animal of a singer 😂 she is such a lovely person though. Elizabeth Zaroff (Charismatic Voice) had an interview on YT, it gives a really good impression on her personality.
Your reaction was great, I could see your face change when you first heard her in both modes 😂 The band are soooo talented, there’s no other band that are like them, they’re out on their own. I think that Tatiana is an absolute brilliant lyricist, so much emotion in her work!

Thank you so much for doing this song justice. Starting out by reading the article, Tatiana's interpretation, and finally reading the lyrics; giving a firm understanding before we even started...that was awesome...shows you care! Nice Job!
I think you will enjoy the rest of the album as no two songs sound alike.
    Enjoy,
    JT

Excellent Reaction as usual! I've said it before, but I will say it again that I love what you do before watching the video with the meaning of the song and the lyrics. I can catch some of the words Tatiana says when she's screaming, but not enough to figure out what the song is about and with her you never know the real meaning of the song unless you hear it from her.
