the audience would not have been able to see them very well through the Vegas show dancers , had I bought a front row ticket and stayed up late for this I would be pissed. I love Yulia but this costume looked like some sort of warmup outfit and did not outshine the showgirls on the floor as a champion should have , more appropriate for them to bow down and be quiet during the champions dance and she should have been dripping in gold & jewels like a queen ,,, not a sweater and a headwrap like a cleaning woman but still thanks to the camera closeups and because I have eyes,,, her legs, her feet ,,, I would bow down and kiss them or chop mine right off if I could trade with her . She needs no backup dancers with led lights and feather whips & poms ,,, she can part the floorboards with her walk .

I (usually) love watching this very talented (and super nice) couple but this number didn’t seem right. The backup dancers looked to be dressed as Mayan or Aztec people which didn’t connect with the music in my humble opinion - especially the last number which sounded more modern or hip-hop in style. Ricardo and beautiful Yulia need no backup troupe; they are perfection all on their own.

I agree. The extra dancers are superfluous and not needed, in fact, detrimental to the sheer ethereal beauty of watching Y and R dance. They block the view of the public, prancing around, very irritating.
American way....always to much. Dancers should leave the floor when Champions entered. They are amazing without any extra show around them.
It’s not really the American way because most of the American competitions and things like this don’t have all these show dancers it’s just this particular production must’ve chosen to do so.
Don’t watch.
Except when the check arrives you say not enough.

Riccardo and Yulia are fantastic dancers, but somehow they look a little bit "dwarved" by the "exotic" performers who are, in my opinion, a gratuitous element on the floor.
I'm not sure if I like this... they dance great the moving is fantastic their connection is wonderfull but is ballroom dance only, very repetitive movements and it comes to a point that is boring, sorry it is the coreo not you.

Thank goodness for the great costuming and support dancers and who I think are the main attraction here and are the one who made this show different, entertaining and added real flavour. Yulia as always looks brilliant but Riccardo looks like the odd one out without costuming and rather plain and dare I say (boring) . The routines whilst as always superbly danced ,really lacked any real chorographical creativity and imagination and are underwhelming given their credentials. If they want to be as famous as a show dance couple as they are for their completive achievements they will need to come up with something more personally spectacular than a super slick, highly produced Hollywood number and relying on back up dancers to create the theatre and entertainment value. I liked it as a whole but for me R&Y didn't appear as the main atraction here.

P.S.D.V. I always try to take an objective view and as I saw this, the problem I have with this performance is I felt it was created around R&Y and not about R&Y and to me they were drowned out in the theatre of it all and it felt they only played a cameo and not the staring role. To me ( and I could be completely wrong here)this feels like a self indulged and justified celebration of their retirement and supreme accomplishment of winning 10 world titles. If that's what this is about they should just be upfront, say so and play it that way. I think its a well justified way to celebrate a supreme achievement.
My goodness! I have just been transported to Las Vegas, haven't I ? :-) It is as cheesy as it can get, almost circus-like, sorry, despite all the evident talent, effort and cost.
Joe Testa I get that. This wasn‘t my favorite either but the four other dances from this event were in usual R&Y perfection so I just try to overlook this one :)
