حضرت ابواسید مالک بن ربیعہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے ، انہوں نے فرمایا : ہم لوگ نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر تھے کہ قبیلئہ بنو سلمہ کا ایک آدمی آیا اور عرض کیا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! کیا میرے والدین سے حسن سلوک کی کوئی صورت باقی ہے جس کے ذریعے سے ان کی وفات کے بعد میں ان سے نیکی کر سکوں ؟ آپ نے فرمایا :’’ ہاں ، ان کے لیے دعا کرنا ، ان کے لیے ( اللہ سے ) بخشش کی درخواست کرنا ، ان کی وفات کے بعد ان کے وعدے پورے کرنا ( جو وہ زندگی میں پورے نہ کر سکے ہوں ) ، ان کے دوستوں کا احترام کرنا اور ان رشتہ داروں سے صلہ رحمی کرنا جن سے تعلق صرف ان کے واسطے سے ہے
Hazrat Abu Aseed Malik bin Rabi'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that he said: We were present at the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when a man from the tribe of Banu Salama came and said: O Messenger of Allah! Is there any form of kindness left to my parents through which I can do good to them after their death? He said: "Yes, to pray for them, to ask forgiveness (from Allah) for them, to fulfill their promises after their death (which they could not fulfill in their lifetime), to Respecting friends and being kind to relatives who are only related to them
