Designing the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail

The bespoke Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is an extremely limited luxury land yacht. Only three will be built, and each reportedly costs $28m (€23.5m). In this video, Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös and Head of Coachbuild Design Alex Innes describe the four-year design process and collaboration with the well-heeled clientele who commissioned the luxury vehicle.

As an aside, this is going to become an incredibly lucrative niche for Rolls Royce. Once you start commissioning things, you don't stop, you just become ever more obsessed...
