In this video, Lisel creates a Shadow Box Tide Pool Pendant using FS999 Fine Silver Clay, ICE® Resin and Alcohol Inks. She creates a textured frame for the pendant, and dries it on a drying form to add shape. After the frame is placed, she then inserts clay shapes inside the shadow box to add depth. Once she mixes the resin and alcohol inks, she slowly drops the resin inside of the shadow box, adding depth and color for a tide pool look.
this is beautiful you could do it with so many different ideas
Ah, Lisel, you are so missed.
She truly is! ❤

You're a fantastic teacher thank you so much. Do you have a tutorial for the ring you're wearing on your left index finger it's gorgeous!
Hello, you can watch how Lisel made this ring here: www.cooltools.us/EZ960-Sterling-Adjustable-Ring-s/2468.htm
Thanks for watching!
Awesome project, Lis-el! Did you make the bail too?
Hi Laura, the pinch bail can be found here: www.cooltools.us/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=FND-863
Thanks for watching!
Could you use enamel instead of the resin?
Absolutely! You can find enameling videos, many on enameling over fired metal clay here in our Learning Center: cooltools.us/pages/enameling-project-videos
yes amazing tutorial! love all the tutorials with lisel , please tell me how much clay do i need for this project?
Hi Aurora, this project probably takes about 25 grams of FS999 Fine Silver Clay. Glad you enjoyed watching!
Can this be torch fired, or is a kiln absolutely essential?
FS999 requires a kiln. There are some fine silver clays such as PMC and Art Clay Silver that can be torch fired, if you used these instead. Hope this helps!
@@cooltoolsvideos I only use PMC, but I was concerned about the 3D aspect of this particular pendant.
@@wendyannh You should be able to still torch fire, it just may take longer due to the thickness of this piece.
You are amazing 😉
If you have a little of EZ960 and a little fs999 can you roll them togeather and use them.
Hi Larry, you could do this, but you would need to fire the clay at 1650°F for 4 hours. Thanks for watching!
