I understand your reaction, and I totally agree with your enthusiasm. She is a very beautiful person, with an angelic voice, full of emotion, and yes, she killed it.

Emma is a few years younger, but she surely can keep up with other young gifted singers I am following on RUclips, like Lucy Thomas and Angelina Jordan. This is so, so good!!
And.... on 12 July (so in a week time) a brand new song from Emma will be officially released (according to Pierre Rieu, son of André Rieu). It is not a cover, but an original, written/composed by Dutch top-songwriter Tjeerd Oosterhuis. I have watched already some handy recordings of it, as she is performing the song now at the Vrijthof concerts in Maastricht (NL) where everything started for Emma one year ago, but I think it is good to wait with sharing till the official video is there: that is good for Emma.

Emma’s little studio isn’t a professional set up but her voice doesn’t need that. She is remarkable. I’ve watched her perform at outdoor venues with sound systems that are sub par but she rises above them. The Climb is another song she did at her little studio and it was also beautiful. Alex, I enjoy your reactions. Will watch for you doing more of Emma. Did you do Vincent (Starry starry night) with her sister Sophie?

The “Emma Phenomenon “ started many years ago but Voila put her on the world stage. Keep promoting her, God gave her this talent for a reason! She is not only a superstar but a worldwide superstar. Her music hits at your very soul and is transformative in a positive way. I listen to her everyday and would give anything to hear her in person! Hope she comes to the southern United States in the future and that I am still alive and mobile to see!

Consider a reaction to Emma Kok singing live in Houten town square at the
Zapp Music festival June 2022 when she was just turned 13. She sang her first single
‘Laat mij een vlinder zijn’ (Let me be a butterfly)
The song she co-wrote with Tjeerd Oosterhuis is about breaking free from the constraints of her pumps and the mental challenges she faces. The butterfly emerging from its cocoon to spread its wings being the metaphor and something Emma has related to since she was a young child - watching Emma live you will occasionally see her In Ear Monitors have a butterfly logo on them.
In this video, the way the even younger Emma interacts with the crowd is just magical. It also shows that her stage presence and confidence was there even then. Pierre Rieu when talking about the way she has captured the hearts of him and his orchestra has referred to her as being a “Podium Baes” strictly translated is ‘Stage Boss’ or probably meaning she commands the stage.

A lot of her earlier material is, if maybe not reaction-worthy, certainly interesting to see, including her debut at Voice Kids (which is just 95 seconds or so, but still).
Also yeah, she absolutely got to Andrè's and his crew's hearts, that's rather clear if one sees interviews and postings from them since the Maastricht-shows.

Alex. I enjoy your reactions. I wish you could do Emma’s Climb cover. She did a beautiful job performing it in her studio. She is remarkable. Hope you get to do it. Best to you!🤗

A detail I kinda like is here in the last few frames of the video but also in the Maastricht-video right after she finishes the final note her "show mode" breaking up a little and her giving a big grin (here) respectively a little smirk on that stage at Maastricht, like, you can tell she knows she nailed it.

Alex, have you watched the video of Enzo, Sophie and Emma performing during the pandemic when Emma is playing the violin and Sophie’s voice is so similar to Emma’s? Great family and pretty cool video.

Exactly like you said, the transitions and the power is what makes this song by far my favorite. I often go sleeping listening to it. I asked many months ago many voice-coaches who did react on her 'Voila' to react on this, but none of them did. So I'm very glad you did, as a fact I didn't miss any of your reactions on Emma 🥰 Like you it's my wish to hear this song in studio quality with musicians, that would be me in 7th heaven 😎

Thanks! She brings emotions across. The most important thing in music, apart from low or high notes and all other technical things (in which she is very good of course). If you compare for instance 'Hallelujah' from Lucy Thomas and Emma. Lucy is a great singer, no doubt, and nothing negative about her. But I do not get emotional in any way. While Lucy probably has more power and range etc compared to Emma. With Emma and every song (or so): I feel the emotion she is bringing.

Stellar voice, unfortunately the studio/recording/mix falls far short of capturing her talent.
