You two are so adorable! I love how much Deana kept blushing. You remind me of my husband and myself. He was my best friend too and we met in an odd way...I volunteered to help a friend at a county fair in the kid section. I was dressed in Mickie Mouse overall shorts and wore pigtails....I was well into my 30s but no one knew. My husband came with his friend, his wife worked near me. Her and her husband noticed we kept checking each other out but were too shy to do anything and because the other girl was my friends daughter they were able to get us together. Our love story went very quickly and we were married within a few years and he was my best friend for many years and still would be if he hadn't passed from cancer. Sorry to make our love story sad but honestly our years together were the best of my life and you two remind me of the way we were! We were always joking and laughing. Life isn't always perfect but as long as you're there for each other you can get through anything! I hope you two live long happy lives together!
That’s great story! My wife and I met in a German class at a community college south of Detroit. I sat in the front with high school friends, she sat alone in the back, and we NEVER talked the whole class. There wasn’t enough students enrolled in the next German class, so it was canceled. We bumped into each other a year later and started talking about how bummed we were that the class was canceled, and things took off from there. We’ve been together for 34 years, and married for 30. I wish you the best in your marriage as well!

Very true. I just posted my story above. I was not looking for a relationship at the time I met my Ex, but fell head over heels the first time I met him. And apparently the feeling was mutual. We were married for 25 years and raised two kids together.
Fate. It has its way. I met my second husband on AOL (America On Line) I was in California and he was on Colorado. We talked eveyday. We played silly games, like, If you were ice cream, what flavor would you be, and, toilet paper, under or over? We met in person 4 months later. He moved to be with me. I have kids and couldnt. That was 23 years ago. We've been married 20.9 YEARS. We aren't spring chickens. He 1I'll be 80 in September and I turned 64 in March.
This reminds me so much of how I met my German :) We both moved to Ireland for different reasons, but mostly to have a new experience and do PhDs. We met completely randomly on a beach on the Aran Islands. It took a couple months for us to hit it off, but we've been going strong for 4.5 years now!

I'm in a German/American relationship and when you mentioned that flirting and being nice are two different things, I immediately remembered having that same conversation with my boyfriend. There are cultural differences that come up here and there and sometimes we have misunderstandings. It's good to talk about it and remember that it might just be a different point of view instead of a real disagreement. Good Luck to you both. It seems like you are going to have a wonderful future!
We are in good company! We also quit our jobs we felt stuck in, got TEFL certified and decided to teach English abroad for an adventure...the only problem was, we never got around to teaching English before we ended up in Germany 😂 We had the right idea though! haha Great story guys, thanks for sharing 😊

Love your story! Some of it reminds of when I met my husband. I had just gotten out of a long term relationship and WAS NOT looking for love, I was single for the first time in many years, I had a good job owned my car and paid very little rent...one night a friend of mine asked if I wanted to go to a club I said sure, that where I meet my husband and the rest is history. We have been married for over 25 years and have two adult sons that make us very proud! My husbands got a job in Germany and I want to learn some basic German. It was destiny! My husband and I met in the USA (we are both from other countries. He's German) He went to the USA with the intention of only staying about a year, working there. We met and a year later we were married. We have been married for 29 years already! and we have been working together for 22 years. I've visited Germany a few times and have always loved it there!

While in the U.S.Army , stationed in Germany 1971 and 1972 . I enjoyed my tour of duty . Coming from a German family , my father spoke high German . Growing up he taught my sister and I . I had no problems with communicating. The Germans I met said I had an accent from East Germany !

That's so amazing and you are really a great looking and fitting couple. I met my wife on vacation in Oberstdorf, Germany. I am German, lived in Kassel and she was a Bosnian refugee at that time. Different culture, different language, different religion, I didn't speak Bosnian she didn't speak German and as Bosnian they didn't learn English. However, we are now married since 27 years, have 2 wonderful kids, our daughter is even in the 20s already and we all are living and working in Cologne now. We have relatives in the US (Iowa)as well by the way 👍 If the chemistry fits, this is all you need. I love your channel and your personalities, somehow acting and speaking equally. Love your story! I met my husband on a blind date. I really didn’t want to go as my boyfriend had broken up with me and I didn’t want to date anyone, but my girlfriend talked me into it. If I hadn’t I’d never had met him as he lived in Pittsburgh and was only going to college in Cleveland. He is also of German extraction. Fast forward, we’ve been married for 57 years! Strange how fate works sometimes!

Interesting Story. I recently pressed the subscription button. My love Story which I met my wife is similar. I met her in an English class in Australia an we kept still contact via Facebook since we chatted more intensely. I bought an apartment near Hamburg and my wife build a house in Thailand. After few month I decided to visit her in Thailand and finally it crushed. So we organised to get her visa for Germany and I married her. So now we live happily together with our little daughter since 5 years in Germany.

I met my wife on vacation in Oberstdorf, Germany. I am German, lived in Kassel and she was a Bosnian refugee at that time. Different culture, different language, different religion, I didn't speak Bosnian she didn't speak German and as Bosnian they didn't learn English.
However, we are now married since 27 years, have 2 wonderful kids, our daughter is even in the 20s already and we all are living and working in Cologne now.
We have relatives in the US (Iowa)as well by the way 👍

Love your story! I met my husband on a blind date. I really didn’t want to go as my boyfriend had broken up with me and I didn’t want to date anyone, but my girlfriend talked me into it. If I hadn’t I’d never had met him as he lived in Pittsburgh and was only going to college in Cleveland. He is also of German extraction. Fast forward, we’ve been married for 57 years! Strange how fate works sometimes!

Interesting Story. I recently pressed the subscription button. My love Story which I met my wife is similar. I met her in an English class in Australia an we kept still contact via Facebook since we chatted more intensely. I bought an apartment near Hamburg and my wife build a house in Thailand. After few month I decided to visit her in Thailand and finally it crushed. So we organised to get her visa for Germany and I married her. So now we live happily together with our little daughter since 5 years in Germany.
