In this episode of MCST, I’ll be exploring some Cultural Cuisine of Ethiopians & Eritreans, giving rise to the number of restaurants within Calgary. My culinary journey takes me around some of these amazing restaurants namely, Yegna, Abyssinia, Hdmona, and Marathon. This episode was shot before the Covid-19 Pandemic lockdown.

The food is Ethiopian only and only! Eritrea is not in Ethiopia! Anymore! But Eritreans are showing tendency of Return! My advise for Eritreans be honest!
Thank you for your comment
you only show part of Ethiopian culture. Eritrean and Ethiopian are two independent countries with different language and religion. FYI.
Ethiopian don’t eat the same food each ethnic group have its own dishes.

Beef tartar...raw beef.. a common dish in Europe, North America, South America and east Asia. Knowledge is power.
@@ambessashield9360 Actually in North America.....Blacq Americans Don't eat raw meat... We love our food cooked whole or Partial, Not Completely raw. RAW Meat ! Encourage people to become practicing cannibalism. WE NOT CUT LIKE THAT. Can't trust Y'all. You Try to Eat us..... Raw meat LMBO!!!
@@kametwodaabe471 It’s called beef tartar, a common dish around the world. I don’t think you know what millions of black Americans eat or don’t eat.
@@ambessashield9360 SORRY, MY BROTHER WE DON'T EAT THAT!! THAT IS NOT SOUL FOOD BROTHER ... YOU DEFINITELY DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT.
Ethiopian food not Eritrean as teff is not a local crop of Eritrea, and pls the label ' habesha' Is derigatory stop using it , All Africans use bare hands to eat not only ethiopians n Eritreans, for a naija/ Yoruba man ki lo dey? The woman doesn't want to say where she comes from defeating her point of introducing the dish

Brother, we Eritreans don't consider ourselves Abyssinia nor the same as Ethiopians. Just keep it simple like "Eritrean & Ethiopians food". God bless you.
@Brook haile 90% of Eritreans believe this idea. Only half Eri & half Ethio don't like this idea.
I'm Eritrean, and yes, we're definitely not the same people as Ethiopians. But Abyssinia doesn't refer to Ethiopia, it refers to the predeccessors to Ethiopia and Eritrea.
@@slickrick2420 The Abyssinia thought today is mainly referring to Ethiopians not Eritreans, at least in western countries books. Google it and you will see Ethiopian history.
@dhadir mohamed yep the term habesha was giving to the Ethiopians by Arabs, which came from the word habes. Still today many Arabs & Sudanesse refer to Ethiopians as habes or habesha and Eritreans as Ertria.
@@mylifemyjourney1 What about the Axum Empire? That is definitely our history and we have more claim to it than Amharas
False information, ethiopia is home to 80 different ethnic groups mostly Oromo and Amhara and somali and tigre. the largest Oromo and Somali regions. There are 9 ethnic groups in Eritrea. ethiopia and eritrea muslims and christians are 50 - 50. ethiopia is not Amhara and tigre or 2 ethic groups.
