Well those are huge gravel bars holy cow that one has to be 4-5 foot thick at least if it was me I’d start where the property begins closest to where the hydraulic happened because the sluices back then couldn’t catch the fine stuff and the chances are good there’s plenty there also you need to find where the river used to be as it’s changed course over a couple hundred years and if you can find where it was on the property 500 years ago that’s where the big nuggets might be hiding… if any one can find it you can. Since I operate equipment I’d be taking a backhoe out there and dig straight across those gravel bars and then sample to find the pay streaks 😬 lol. how exciting to be able to have that permission looking forward to years of content and the hunt from there and thank you to the land owners and your friends for letting you in on this and for sharing it with us see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼
@@48thstateprospecting good advice, thanks 👍 excited to figure it out, and getting to keep some gold for myself and share the experience with my mates. See you soon brother 🫡🍻
@@ScotlandsGold really you found half a gram ? Nice but this gold is a different color than what I usually get on my property…. I swear it didn’t come from any other river…..🤔🤫😂😂😂😂😂
50/50 split is a good deal Callem. Now the pressure is on to find that pay streak, its gotta be there. I would be look8ng for the dead zones in high flood waters, has to move bigger stuff and leave it somewhere. 😮😊 Cheers anther gold soldier from down under 🙃, regards Andy PPA
Excited to get stuck into it, heading back soon for another crack at it. Very cool having permission to remove the gold😁 think il be on the bike again 💪😎
Very rare opportunity to work this land with full permission to pretty much do as we see fit, the owner retained full mineral rights with this land (Rare), is a beautiful area and extremely vast, with it being private property there's very little info on it apart from further upstream on the Dukes estate being hydraulically worked in 1800's and hence the whole area needs checked, we haven't been skunked yet , but have yet to find a good deposit , what a great way to spend the day chasing gold. 50/50 is a small price to pay to the owner for this opportunity for exclusive access to quality ground, detector permission will be the jewel in the crown ,cool video bro and thanks for a great day out, one of many more to come.
@@ScotlandsGold your very welcome bro , i needed help so i called the A team , im gonna speak to the owner bro and get you both included on the permission on your own merit without me being there, Dave found the old river channel 😯 he has the midas touch 😅 another great day tomorrow.
There's four main areas of non-Crown Royal land in Scotland. Of these we can rule out anywhere without a river (reference to upstream) so that's the Lochgilphead and Kintyre areas off the list; reference to a duke narrows it down to just eight Dukedoms of which Buccleuch (Queensberry) is the most likely. Upstream likely refers to the Durisdeer area, and where downstream of there isn't owned by Buccleuch at the moment I really don't know, nor do I know which stream this is either.

We all have freedom to roam, but fyi on private land if your asked to leave and dont, your then trespassing. The police will not force you to leave private land unless you are causing a disturbance, committing a crime, or have entered the land with the intention of occupying it. Removing the landowners Gold is considered a crime.
You could spend a life time on one gravel bar up there. That red pasty sediment looked proper juicy too 👍

From the look of the Glacial Sediments you were digging in. I would guess this is up in the North East, Helmsdale way probably.
