A day out, a wee bit of colour. Geezers mate, thought you were going to break out the jewelers loop to see those bits! You should have broke out some of that quartz vien and tested that Best! Best of luck on the next hunt. Cheers from down under 🙃, regards Andy Poverty prospecting Australia 🇦🇺
I wonder how long it's been since that sediment moved. Younger Dryas glaciers would have been moving everything from the nubby hills around you when they suddenly stopped moving and dumped their load straight down. All that flour gold was ground by ice from the rocks plucked from the area. I would take my Ace Apex just to test the larger stone to try and develop a profile for the sediment. The downhill watercourse likely follows the same path it did when the closest glacier melted. Are there drumlins fetched up on bedrock that show direction? Knowing that the sediment was open to the rain for the first while, you know the gold would drop to the bottoms quickly and stay there. The widest meanders of the stream across the flats probably have the best ground to work, or better yet identify paleo-channels and former ox-bow lakes, then pick the inside bend as usual. The oldest channel of the stream would hold the best gold. Meanders snap into new positions, so the ground in between channels can remain unworked completely, so watch the banks to see where a bend might intersect the unsorted glacial till as opposed to sorted sand and gravel horizons. I don't get to put my boots on the ground even as often as you, so screw YT for making it harder for us Canadian Scots to see our homeland heath while you pan the headlands.
Nice pan cal yes nice to see great out doors. not much chance id make it their, so lovely to see. Thanks for sharing
@@Glass596 pretty cool thought, glad you got to see the trip, one day I will thank myself for filming these 😃
