Japan has revived my love of heavy music. So many incredible bands, but Nemophila is my favorite. World class musicians with an incredibly versatile and charismatic vocalist. Mayu can sing anything well: from banshee screams to pop and everything in between. I also recommend Dissension (mv), you won’t be disappointed. Another Japanese band you should check out is Hanabie and their song We love sweets.
Welcome to Nemophila these guys are amazing and all equally talented they are my personal favourite try Dissension or Raitei both amazing songs. They have even done some amazing covers especially the Banana song.
Nemophila, excellent as always!! If you like that sort of heaviness, then check out the Japanese all girl band Hannabie, their song "We Love Sweets" is mind blowing and crazy good!
They don't have any bad songs... I sort of think that people should build up to We Love Sweets, as it's face melting. Ease in to it with maybe Envy or LCG...
nemophila is the most exciting new band, they are all professional musicians from different bands, and they play a variety of genres. Check out《dissension》mv or《oiran》live 2021 next please!🌸🔥👍
Someone discovered Japanese female bands. (insert Sponge Bob giant grin meme). You're not going to go wrong with Japan my good man. It is a DEEP DEEP ocean you just dove in to.
NEMOPHILA remind me of a UK band called (Discharge) checkout their 1982 release (Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing) This track made me think of Discharges (the nightmare continues) Bear in mind Discharge were the first PUNK band to ever sound this heavy, raw, and fast, that they pushed the scene and influenced many others. Edit: just noticed i'm sitting here with a discharge fight back Tshirt on as a type this 😆
Thanks for the call back. They seem to be the origin of hardcore punk, that was all over the US in the '90s. A bit like how Killing Joke invented Industrial in 1980 with their debut album.
@@patrickholt2270 On 01/08/1980 Discharge Played their 5th gig at the Manor Ballroom, Ipswich, At that time they only had two 7inch records out, Fight Back & Realities Of War, A grand total of 9 short tracks, So they played them all a few times :) But what a sound, Nobody had heard anything like it and had no idea what to do or how to jump about, It resulted in large body pile ups that would clear and rebuild until the end of the gig, Crazy Crazy, It was then we all knew things were about to change the punk scene, But it lead to even more, Happy memories of that bruising blur of a night, It was the one and only time i saw them. Side note: They were backed that night by local punk band The Retarded. I did see Killing joke live twice, One of them was at The Reading Festival 1986 - Aug 22, 1986, They were amazing that night, It was raining real hard, Doctor and the medics had just been bottled off stage 2, and everyone was waiting, Curtains opened, Jaz stood there arms stretched up and the rain stopped, Bang strait into the gig. That was a hell off a long weekend that ended with a small riot on the isle of white. Involving Mud, fire, Buster blood vessel (Of Bad Manners) Over priced poor beer and food, But that's another long story. EDIT: This just came to mind. Americas FEAR were most likely influencing Discharge. Back in 1979 FEAR done this Live. (FEAR - BEEF BALONEY - NEW YORKS ALRIGHT ON SAT NIGHT - LIVE) It certainly resembled the Discharge crowd that night 🤪
Good reaction Do more please .Thing with Nemophila is you can't put them in a box Revive is different to other tracks but all tracks are superb .Both Hazuki and Saki run 7 strings with the top string in B rest in standard tune this gives the heavy crunch with the riffs that you just cannot get as good on 6 they are both top world class guitarists with Saki guitar royalty in japan then you have the drummer Tamu who is also world class top that with a superb singer and Bass player and you have one of the best new bands out in the world .
I'm hearing a lot of Annihilator's guitar sound from the late '80s here. They were considered one of the heaviest thrash metal bands in the world at the time, without veering into death metal.
As with Band Maid and Lovebites, Nemophila are outstanding live. There is not much live material from them as the pandemic has stopped many bands touring and Nemophila have not been together long. Due to this, they have recorded many cover versions in a studio and you will see individual video recordings of the lady's mixed together to make a video of the songs they are covering. Here is a good example of them playing live Oiran: ruclips.net/video/19VQ9tkWksQ/видео.html&ab_channel=NEMOPHILA
Great reaction. You won't regret diving head first in to this phenomenonal world of Jrock/Jmetal, especially all the crazily talented female artists. I'm a year and a half in, and still discovering amazing artists. These awesome ladies, Band Maid, Babymetal, Lovebites... And my personal new favourites, Hanabie. Thank you for the reaction. 🔥🖤
...and FINALLY you get to my favourite metal band 😁, straight out of Japan! Yeah, the singer Mayu is amazing, isn't she? She really has a lovely melodic voice but chooses to be a banshee when she wants to. I think that's so totally cool. If you carry on down this journey, you will begin to notice the other band members too. The two guitarists Hazuki and Saki are really equally skilled. The bassist, Haraguchi, will become more prominent the more you listen to them. Yet, the truth is - it was their drummer (stage name Murata Tamu) that brought me to this band in the first place. Many of them are in other bands too, so as you continue down this J-Rock/J-Metal journey, you might see many of these faces again. 😊
These are a new one for me, Cool band.👍 My current favorite from Japan is HIBUSHIBIRE Their 2019 release (Turn On, Tune In, Freak Out!) Is raw and wild as hell, As good as it gets.
To me, this song is a message to people feeling down and depressed, especially people feeling suicidal, as a message to not give up on life, to appreciate life, to rise above whatever is getting you down, and about finding inspiration through the power of music. "You don't want your life to end like that, do you? This is just the beginning of the show!"
You can't dive into the Japanese metal scene without hearing Maximum The Hormone. The group's drummer Nao has been an inspiration to a lot of the great female musicians coming out of Japan. I would recommend their song Yoshu Fukushu as an introduction.
Wow you reacted to another cool as hell Japanese that band I love, the lead guitarist Saki (black and red dress) is phenomenal and she's in a few bands, please react to Mary's Blood - Marionette, there you'll see her really show some of her skill, stunningly good.
The heavy crunch of the guitars is because both Saki and Hazuki are playing 7 strings. You should check them out live with Oiran from Naon Yaon (no crowd-fuck COVID) but holy hell do they bring it.
Loving your reactions to the many rabbit holes of Japanese music. And you haven't discovered the Fox Hole that is Babymetal's back catalogue yet! I think that if there was ever a band which dads and daughters could both happily enjoy, Babymetal are it. Try Headbanger from the Legend 97 concert and I'm sure you'll both agree they're a band to explore...or, rather, yet another female Japanese band to explore! ruclips.net/video/QEsOaMbNFww/видео.html

Good observation about outfits - designer tweeted, that it was inspired by "L.A. rock of 80'".

Song: "Demon Light" would be a good one by Nemophila..maybe "Dissension"

日本人はLYNYRD SKYNADが好きになり Led Zeppelinにあこがれ YESを理解しようとし Queenを歓迎した。そんな音楽の土台があるから、girlsbandでもここまでのクオリティーがあるのではないだろうか。
So precise awesome🙌🙌🙌🙌💥💥
I’m loving these Heavy Rock chick bands you are reacting to.
I’ve just become a fan of Heavy Rock bands.
She got, get presence of true rock.
Nice reaction. There are many ways to describe them but one-trick-ponies is not one of them.
Just a noisy row!
Yes check out hanabie
Number 3 or 4 suggesting Hanabie, why?
@@5Melig They are an all female metal band just not what you'd expect but they are serious badasses
@@knightofthefivemaids Can't all have the same taste, I'll try to keep my mouth shut.
