- Sky News host Chris Kenny says the path to renewables Labor, the Greens and the teals want Australia to stay on will “lead to power, chaos and shortages”.
Mr Kenny says the push to renewable energy and the way it “simply does not work” is playing out in two countries that are especially close to Australia.
“In the UK the Labour Party that is certain to form government after the election … is promising to ban any future gas exploration in the North Sea,” Mr Kenny said.
“The Kiwis have already gone down that path, and even though they have stacks of hydro and don’t rely on fossil fuels for a huge share of their power - their shambolic experience shows that banning gas exploration is a disaster”.
why we care Climate Agreement while China is not even think about it
The 'green' is about the money, not the environment
Do not vote for greens and labour or it’s ganna get a lot worse
Sack Bowen- Save Australia…?
Debt and chaos would be more accurate.
All sounds like Biden and we need a Trump like leader that wants a better deal for Australia
A convicted felon and sex offender who steals money from cancer charities?
At least Trump withdrew the US from the economically destructive Paris Accord.
The carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels green the planet and increase agricultural yields, reduce winter heating costs, reduce deaths from hypothermia and postpone the next glacial maximum.
Who the fk do these people think they are, they bloody work for us.
Nuclear power stations, the more time and resources lost while rejecting this solution increases the damage. There is no other viable option.
Yep
This is the labor governments pathway it's taking Australia down ...
The longer the debate goes on about Australia having Nuclear Reactors constructed to replace our retiring coal fuelled power stations on the same land holdings of the retiring coal power stations.
The longer Australia will be in black outs after the labor government renewable plan fails to provide the energy requirements leaving manufacturing to a holt cease production & many homes without lights or cooling & heating ..
The quicker the Nuclear Reactor plan is adopted & construction begins the sooner Australia can meet the net zero emissions target & Australia have a working energy system capable of powering the entire energy needs of Australia 24/7 with its current population & the expected Australian population size for the next 75 years after the reactor is switched on ..
I don't think the modelling for labor government plan can supply 24/7 power with Australia's current population let alone the expected population growth of Australia over 75 years ..
Did they even put the growth of population into their modelling plan for renewable energy ..the higher the population the higher the amount of usable energy will be needed..
All the LNP has to to is what labor is doing = commit to a target they know can't be reached and it's all good apparently
The Liberals and Nationals Don't Care about QUALITY, Quality Outcomes.
Backing Coal when They had the Choice to Go Solar is an Example of Poor Quality Outcome for Australia.
My solar output today from a 5 kw system was 1kwh in total and no wind today.
Cheap communal electricity was one of the benefits of modern civilisation.
The carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels green the planet and increase agricultural yields, reduce winter heating costs, reduce deaths from hypothermia and postpone the next glacial maximum.
@@johngeier8692 We will all go blue in the face trying to explain that to these absolute naive politicians.
It's not that the political elitists forget about their duties to the people, it is they just don't care about the people.
This country was built on cheap, reliable coal and gas as forms of energy and ever since we’ve been going down this mad renewables path we’re paying record prices for everything, destroying our beautiful country side and have the worst costs of living since the depression!!!! Brilliant stuff Labor!
Control the energy source and you control the people
Ardern was a poison chalice
Nuclear is enevitable.
Spell checkers are available.
What's the go with sudden re-emergence of face nappies.
The IPCC WG1 does not mention the word 'crisis'. It his high time that the Greens in particular show some respect for the alarmism created because of misleading information, non-sensical dribble with no basis in relation to the facts of the situation.
That’s the plan …
The French are currently installing 8 nuclear power stations….
I guess they opted for the expensive option?
Or are we being bullshitted to by Bowen … as usual
They have definite plans for six, starting in 2027, and have floated the idea of another eight. These will be needed to replace the aging and problematic plants that have already passed their use by date.
At a cost of at least 10B euros each. After Flamanville, I wonder if the budget will blow out, and the build time. They may not see any energy from these new reactors before 2040.
Don't set impossible goals but do what you can without punching yourself in the face.
PV panels are so inefficient, By putting metal polished panels mounted on the sides of the panel increases the efficiency by 400%. We are going full out on a very poor product. It was shown on youtube.
Forget the side panels idea, Renewables are inefficient and costly, full stop, they are prone to storm damage and require high & expensive maintenance on a regular basis, also need another 28,000 kms of expensive high voltage grid infrastructure they dont factor the price in for because they subsidise it by billions of dollars, requires large areas for low density, unstable, unreliable, intermittent power that requires more $18 Billion dollar pumped hydro dams and more expensive grid infrastructure to act as a short term low density storage battery for the thousands of acres of wind and solar destroying farming and protected native species national parks and environmental land sites with chunks of concrete that needs dynamite to remove, all the while we up gas production for overseas while banning it in Victoria and giving away over half of what gas we produce for free but still pay the highest gas & electricity prices in the world.
Being the second greenest country in the world we feel a duty to export millions of tonnes of CO2 producing coal & fossil fuels overseas to offset our .04 of 1% overall CO2 emissions, so you could conclude we are actually well below net zero because we send it offshore to be released as a major global CO2 contributor instead, but at 440ppm it is the lowest in the planets history & the plants and coral reefs are thriving.
The climate change narrative and net zero is a big evil money laundering scam that will destroy our economy, culture and electrical grid supply in one hit.
Nuclear is the go, but gas &/or coal are fine.
Black solor panels make the temperature hotter
No,
If Australia Starts Building SOLAR CARPORTS the Shade Under the Carport will be Cooler than being in Direct Sunlight.
SOLAR Energy, Plus Shade!.
Another Great Idea is to Completely Build a Solar Roof over the Top of Barcaldine, Longreach, Miles, Cloncurry, Dysart, Camoweal, Etc.
Cool the Small Towns Down Plus have Lots of Solar Energy.
What's the "Will' bull...s.h.i.t? It is, not will!!! Its NOW!
Seeing this makes me so glad we are off the grid and have been making our own power with our solar system for the last 12 years so no black outs for us or power bills .
AI and quantam is going to need alot of power?
Too right it does.
Im a kiwi and seeing those clips of big aunt cinda brings back my nightmares... worst politician ever!!!! Dont copy her albo
when you mix red and green together you get...
Are you talking about light or paint?

Green ideology is more economically damaging than communism.
wont someone please think of the children 😉
Anybody else see the new announcement by Elon Musk of Megapack 3? - grid scale battery packs that plug directly into the HV power network, reducing or eliminating the need for substations?
It's that sort of technological development that I prefer over monolithic power stations. Batteries will improve, grids will improve, cabling will improve, solar and wind will improve in efficiency. I much prefer the idea of a constantly improving tech base, rather than a system designed and built now that sucks up all the money.
Australia is now the titanic without life boats...
Power & kaos. Is zoot back from the dead?
OHHH, OHHH, OHHH

Top commentary from Chris - But I wish he would refer to the Teals by there correct name - The Climate 200 Teals Party.
Sorry Kenny you are behind the eight ball............
Energy regulator AEMO has already warned that this summer will bring the risk of possible power outages, and blackouts with energy sharing in place as Australia struggles to build renewable energy quickly enough with the rush to close coal-fired power stations.
Victoria, NSW and South Australia are some of the states at great risk of suffering from blackouts.
Massive expansion of the Easter Power grid with wind and solar sources is deeply flawed, and expensive. It will fail to deliver quality, 24-hour electricity,”
Australia will need to build fast-start open-cycle gas generators which are best able to support a grid with increasing amounts of renewables
And that's why Labour in the UK will romp home...
The Conservative Party failed to act as a Conservative Party. They have acted like “Labour Lite”.
Net Zero is economically destructive delusional insanity.
It needs to be abandoned and the most economical energy resources available need to be utilised.
How much of a hold does Murdoch have over this guy?
More Doomsday Stuff from Sky.
First Sky Supported Coal, Oil, Gas.
Now Sky Supports Nuclear.
They support cheap affordable energy, what do you support.

Interesting, How much is COAL per Tonne ?.
Fun fact: right wing news has said the power will go every year for years 🎉🎉
All the LNP has to to is what labor is doing = commit to a target they know can't be reached and it's all good apparently
We still have a few coal fired power plants in operation to firm everything up.
Net Zero is economically destructive delusional insanity.
We need to abandon it and use the most economical energy resources available. Several major countries are continuing to build coal fired power plants.
