‘Spending $130 billion more’: Jim Chalmers is ‘too weak’ as treasurer

Former Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger has attacked Treasurer Jim Chalmers for being “too weak” in his role as he is “spending $130 billion more” between 2023 and 2026, according to budget papers.
The Prime Minister is defending his government’s policies after facing criticism from big business.
The Business Council of Australia has launched an attack on the Albanese government over industrial relations laws, regulations and taxes.
“The problem with Chalmers is he’s too weak,” Mr Kroger told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
“He’s spending $130 billion more between 2023 and 2026, according to the budget papers.”
