Proud mason here. People who think that masons are evil are gravely misinformed . I really hope they take the time to do proper research and come to see the truth about freemasonry and the good masons do all over the world for mankind .
@@Jaymoss95 there are only 3 degrees in free masonry .
The extra degrees are in Scottish rite masonry embellished and added on to the 3 degrees. Freemasonry disinformation was perpetuated by Mussolini and Hitler etc.
@@Jaymoss95 the thinker thinks the prover proves. We are attached to our beliefs and look for things to justify our beliefs and prejudices. It's a human thing we all do . If you research the history of freemasonic misinformation it goes back to a series of stories written by Leo Taxil. He admitted it was all bollocks but by that time his books were far and wide and people would much rather prefer to believe that there is a mason conspiracy etc than the bland truth that we just do charity stuff and have a initiations with secret worlds tokens and grips.
The Vatican hated Freemasonry because we believe you can be of any religion and still be a mason. The church didn't like we included Muslims Sikhs Jews etc because it undermines their doctrine .
Trust me mate it's worth a deeper look. Of course there are good and bad masons just like there is in any other group of people . But masonry is about helping your fellow man and not seeking credit for doing so.
@@Jaymoss95 the truth is that masonry fragments into many other branches on the masonic journey. It only really begins after your 3rd degree. But there are many diversely oriented brands , divisions and chapters composed of millions of different individuals. What's more is that the function and power of freemasonic influence and power has been both positive and negative in different times and places so it's an act of gross generalisation and prejudice to say Freemasonry is or isn't something when it's so old , composed of so many different types and from different places and times. Much to the detriment of freemasonry, it has been reluctant to defend itself and has turned the other cheek in the face of such accusations which has led some speculators to exclaim " see ! ? They donet even deny it !" And the trope of well the guys at the top are the lizard people or what ever .
It really is worth getting interested in freemasonry though because there have been villains and heroes in it but on the whole you'll find it's consistently been a force for good in 99% of cases. The secrecy is part of the tradition that goes back to its conception and it's unveiling is part of ones own life journey to enlightenment and becoming a better person .
Many clandestine groups have incorporated masonic structure into their own groups like a blueprint over the years including the fellowships. If you look at the majority of masons they are a bunch of old do gooders .

I joined a year ago and used to believe a lot of the clap trap around it when I was younger and misinformed. I really enjoy what freemasonry has helped me achieve in regards to getting and staying off substances, helping my community and working to help others .
