November, 1985. Steve is performing at the Assembly of God youth convention in Fremont, California. I never knew this until after we got married but my wife was in that same building watching him sing. I could have walked right past her and never would have known it. 5 years later the opening song at our wedding was "Love that will not let me go."
In October 1988 I sang my first solo at a college youth group "singspiration". The song I sang was He is All You Need by Steve Camp. That song was so meaningful to me as a Christian who had spent too much time in the world and away from Christ. That fall was the beginning of a time when I began to again surround myself with people of faith. Within a year I was serving as worship leader. God actively ministers through music! God bless you Steve Camp!
Aaron; Sadly the new JE$U$ Music is in the huge music Industry in Praise & Worship. Men like Chris Tomlin are making millions and millions. Big Money in JE$U$ Name. TRUTH! SADLY 100% TRUTH!
I was watching Steve in concert in 1985. This is about 3 years after Keith Green died. Steve told the story of how he got mugged and beat up pretty good. He told Keith Green and Keith asked if Steve witnessed to the guys. Steve said it was kinda hard when they were giving me a beat down. Steve said Keith was very upset with him and finished with "He must not have had his locust and wild honey for breakfast yet." Then Steve played Asleep in the Light.
Keith Green was really weird and demanded everybody but himself to walk on water. The main rep of CCM said Keith Green argued with them about money being made and the evil of the CCM Magazine and in the same breath ask him if CCM would do a main story in CCM covering him and by the way CCM approved of his suggestion.
@@jimchumley7907 Steve and Keith were both right about Contemporary Christian music business being no different than the Secular music business. Weird does not mean wrong.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you o much for posting this, i love steve camp one of the few christian singers that was truly in it. i have, i think, almost every Steve Camp cd
1975, my uncle saw Keith at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, before Keith hit it big and the best way he could describe it was "A hippie beating a piano to death."
One of the most heartfelt Christian artist of all time. Today is a day even more of a need for God then back when he did this concert. Great to see this... just wished he would have sung the songs closer to how he originally recorded them. Still great... just saying :)
I noticed that, too, the differences between this and his early recordings-- I think his vocal range was just lower, couldn't quite hit those higher notes or perhaps he was just having a temporary problem with his voice during that concert. But you're right, still great!
Ok! Just to let y'all know I got to see Mr. Camp a couple of times before this particular concert. And a few years after this concert footage when he was touring with David Meece. All great concerts. Soo long ago and far away. Message is the same though.
Steve could have been as big as Michael W Smith or Steven Curtis Chapman ....... but instead, he decided to be a humble pastor in a small church in Florida 🥰
Good for him. The so called Christian music industry is no different than the huge money making lgbtq supporting secular industry. Most so called Christian musicians not only follow and believe the lgbtq satanic alphabet movement but support it. I seldom listen to the newer so called post modern western church music.
Literally my favorite Christian artist of all time.

This video reveals.a side of Steve Camp I have not seen in my years of listening to him and group that He has around Him doing the music

I first saw Steve Camp at Donnelson Fellowship in Nashville in the Fall of 1992. Amazing focus on God's love, and our hope in Him, alone.
I miss this this kind of music. So raw and equally loving.

Long live Steve, Be blessed. Million thanks for your music and presence
A great voice of ccm from the 80s and 90s.
Beautiful anointed Concert! Praise glory and honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

wow I did not know about that
@@christgospelccm8353 It was funny and sad at the same time because a lot of us were still not over the death of Keith Green.
Missing still Keith but very grateful for Steve Camp

Digging this big time. That electric guitarist is tearing it up. It's all good.
the amazing George Cocchini! A true living legend who has recorded with many high profile artists
I was saved at a Keith Green concert Many years ago...thank you for being there WOW

SC, my favorite artist, hands down. I never felt any question about his devotion to God. Sadly that isn't so for most Christian artists

A must have in HCMC VIETNAM
Love agony of deceit how brave
Í wish some one would write good songs for Singles
Is that George conchini? He was in Joes English band back in 1984. Amazing!
Not hard to sell out when the venue holds 75 people. Woof, I forgot how much I couldn't stand this guy.
These songs seem to be old songs not recent songs from new albums.
Good old songs can any one tell me how to find Hjs new music

Since that show the Guitarist made enough money to get a nice hair transplant. Steve Camp donated 5lbs. of hair.
How old is this video?
Watch this reminds me why I do not watch live productions they are loud and have flashing lights these are not needed to horon God.
cc plz
I wonder if people are break the law putting this ôn line
Insane how cheesy the lyrics are considering how talented they are as musicians.
YEAH BLUE CHEESY! CHECK OUT STRYPERS AWESOME 2020 ALBUM ABOUT PROPHECY AND END TIMES.
We need more Christian content on the internet world wide or better ways of distrubuting it.
And today he is part of the MAGA cult. What a shame
