    First, Rich glad you’re back to being healthy and it was fortunate that you were in an area with a good medical center close by. Secondly, thanks for bringing up the point to have our traveling partner familiar with processes that the other does. And finally, Cindy you did great driving and parking the truck. After five years of driving our Sequoia there are times I still can’t seem to get it evenly between the lines. BTW, last year at one of the rallies we signed for SkyMed as a just in case plan to supplement our medical plans. You just never know…

      Thanks so much for watching and the nice comments. It's funny, we think we're doing the right thing by having C tow and drive the truck but we never thought of her doing it in the dark or when it's raining. It's the little things but she did great!

      Thanks Sue for watching! Yes, she did rock it. It's funny - we think we're prepared because she practices driving the truck every year but we never thought to do so in the rain, in the dark, or in the dark and rain. Lesson learned. BTW, I'm feeling great - thanks for your thoughts.

    Rich, so glad you are back to health. Cindy, you did great with the Luv Truck and keeping the Luv Sub in tip-top shape. Sad that part of our time together at Land Yacht Harbor was with you in the hospital, but we look forward to future time spent together. Love you guys.

    Ive always been neurotic about this especially on boat trips...1st mate has to know how to maneuver, turn on sync, and follow the chart plotter, use the radio, etc. Glad you're better. I got hit with influenza "A" before Christmas and it sucked big time. No pneumonia (despite 45 yrs of smoking) but it took 3 weeks until I felt 100%. My doc said flu shot was formulated to "B variants" this year and would not have helped for the type "A'. Funny little germs these viruses. Great job Cindy, I am sure you were stressed, but ya did great. And yes fellow adventurers are the best!

      Thanks for watching Blue Star Industrial! You so right about knowing the systems. Our failure was that we always did our "training" in perfect weather. Thus the issue with lights, wipers, etc. Still, I agree with you - C did great!

    Wow! Take care of yourselves!
    I ended up doing my first hospital stay ever last August. It was a week with four trips to the OR under anesthesia. It was a blood infection in my leg. Anyway, one of the lessons learned is to have a long phone charing cable (or two), because a cell phone and ipad are your only connections to the outside world. This includes staying in touch with family, banking, email, etc.

    • @LuvSubbin
      @LuvSubbin  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks for watching and we hope all is well now. A long charging cord is a great idea. Whenever C showed up the first thing I gave her was my phone to get its charge. We also keep a few "fuel rods" and it would have been good if I had one as a backup. Safe travels.

    Glad Rich is doing better!
    My wife broke her ankle in Acadia National Park in September, requiring emergency surgery in Bar Harbor.
    We were faced with no weight bearing on her ankle, a walker, and climbing in & out of the F150 & Basecamp 20x.
    I improvised some leveling blocks to aid in climbing in & out of the truck.
    We made the two day drive home safely but it was stressful on both of us.
    Regarding the headlights on the F150, it took me a while to master them on our 2021 Powerboost. I leave them on automatic now 😀
    I too struggle to park it.
    We fled western NY and are at Sebastian Inlet State Park right now.
    Enjoy your travels!

    Rich - glad you are doing better, out of the Hospital and back home. We can totally relate to everything you both are going through. Diane has been hospitalized for the past three weeks here in San Diego. It’s really hard going through this a way from home, not knowing what will happen next. Happy to know yours had a goos out come. BTW - Defrosting the refrigerator is the last thing on my mind as my partner is in the hospital.

    • @LuvSubbin
      @LuvSubbin  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Randy. Wow. We will be keeping Diane in our thoughts. Hopefully she will be back up and in the Airstream in no time. But you are right - it can be very difficult going through all the craziness of health issues while away from home. I'm sure even Zephyr and Monty are going crazy. Again, please say "Hello" to Diane and let her know we're thinking of her.

    Rich, I'm glad you are feeling better and out of the hospital. Great job Cindy on solo camping and driving. Your video hit a tender spot for me since I'm solo RVing with my 87 pound pup. I'd have to find someplace for him to stay before going into the hospital and that might be a challenge.

  • @nancyphillips5078
    @nancyphillips5078 7 месяцев назад

    Glad you have recovered. Six days, now a days, is a long stay in a hospital. You were seriously sick. After joint replacement I went home six hours after I entered the hospital.
    We can relate to having a medical issue and trying to figure out what to do. My husband spent 12 hours in the ER, Urgent Care wouldn't take him, in Atlanta, GA. Eight hours waiting to see a doctor in the waiting room and then in a small room by himself. What we learned from that experience, if you have a bit of time, is to find out the wait times of the ER at various hospitals. Just do a quick Google search. We ended up at a facility with the longer than average wait times. Of course, a serious emergency, call an ambulance and you might move to the front of the line versus a walk in. We cut our trip short by a week and he got the additional care he needed at home with little wait time.

    • @LuvSubbin
      @LuvSubbin  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks for watching and the helpful tips on wait times. The doctor said that if I had not regularly gotten my flu shot that this could have killed me. I'm glad it didn't because we have much more Airstreaming in our systems!
