Official highlights of FIA ETRC 2017 Round 1 at Red Bull Ring

- Maximum attack! That was the maxim according to which the who is who of truck racing met at Red Bull Ring for the first time in the 2017 FIA European Truck Racing Championship season. In the four truck races at the popular race track located in Austria the contestants aimed at paving their way in the quest for the ultimate winner. But it wasn't only about the racing. The visitors of Round 1 of the FIA ETRC had a lot to explore in the supporting program such as live music acts, a historic truck parade, the trucker camp, a show of tattoo artist Mario Barth and much more.

Trucks racing is like body builders competing in the 100m dash.
Not really. Idk about you, but I don't find watching body builders sprint to be entertaining, but I do find this to be. I'd also assume it's a lot more exciting to participate in one of these races, even if it's just as a spectator, rather than lift weights & run 100 meters. And a hell of a lot more exciting than watching someone else do it. No offense but I'd rather be watching semi trucks race than join you in one of your hobbies if you find THIS to be as exciting as watching paint dry. You must have trouble finding excitement in life, I assume, unless you're running from a nuclear explosion or falling outta the sky without a parachute.
This isn't exciting. First of all it's disgusting, just notice how much smoke they make and how dirty the air around them looks when they show long distance images on the fast parts of the track. It's more funny how large and not sporty nor good handling they are, just like bulky people trying to sprint. If I want excitement, a base jumping video with wing suits would do just fine. I get that manufacturers use this for marketing and it serves a purpose, fine, but that's about it.
Really spectacular starting weekend, I was very hyped for it and was not let down.
By the way why was lion truck racing absent? Or have I missed some news.
Lion Truck did not enter for a full season, but they might do some races.

I thought these trucks were amazing until I found out they don't have a sleeping den behind the seats. Its no wonder they don't have any pit stops... What the hell would they do for the rest of the day if they did ?!
