Hi there, It looks like you've provided a detailed overview of the Netgear Nighthawk AX12 Wi-Fi 6 router, along with its performance, features, and setup process. It's great to see that you've thoroughly tested it and shared your experiences. If you have any specific questions or need further information about the router or its capabilities, please feel free to ask, and I'll be happy to provide more details or assistance.
Always better to configure the router using a web browser and not the app, more custom settings options allowing you to tweak the router to your preference.
Update , I was able to fixed downgraded the software for the .28 version and putting same Wi-Fi unify setting, however this is bull sh.. it is a 300$ router , just returned It should worked normal plug and play with no issues, I order a Tp Link deco x60 3 pack , waiting to arrive avoid Netgear items , PD : I’m not a beginner user so I know what I’m saying.
Thanks for the video. I just got this router since my older nighthawk bit the dust. Helped a lot as to how power and versatility this router has. I also got a new cable modem. Good thing I did. My old modem was slowing my speeds way way down. Now, to go play some more.
Nice review, thank you. I did purchase this router two months ago to replace my Netgear R7000. I use this router to connect CAMs around the house, the CAMs use the 2.4 network. to my surprise the R7000 reaches further than the new one. The new one is excellent in the 5 G network, But the 2.4G is very bad. I tested both 2.4 and 5G at 60ft. the 5G is twice as fast. very confusing, I am sorry to say.
Same reasons why I'm afraid to upgrade, i have the R8000 and the range is very good, afraid to upgrade and get an inferior range while getting a more expensive router
This high-end home router are becoming essential since more people are not working from home and having more devices. Reliability is so important now these days. Awesome review and unboxing 👌

Bro are you still using this? I'm with Virgin media, when I first got this I was on M350 it worked for 2 hours then went off. I spoke to Netgear technical, they helped by changing things within the router page. After 1 year I upgraded to Gig 1 and now the wi-fi speeds have gone really slow on the upper floor. I have no technical support left can pay for it but don't know if it is worth it. Do you have any ideas please? I've forgotten the original setup they made me do. Thanks in advance!!

You can add their AX extenders which help to aid coverage however unlike the Orbi these extender if using more than one can latch on to each other rather than the router.
I am disappointed in this review, you focused only on the configuration via the phone application, completely skipping the web interface. Playing with the voice assistant instead of discussing advanced features. In general, it seems that the router is weak, since the maximum speed from the NAS is about 38MB/s.
