Y’all so mad about nothing. This dude had the talent to start out as a rapper. Fan or not, he did. He made it. And for whatever reasons it may have been, he wanted to play guitar, like so many of us. So he picked up a guitar, and like so many of us, has been putting the work in to improve. It would be one thing if the industry just grabbed some random scrub at Guitar Center and thrusted them into the limelight, but this dude is taking advantage of HIS platform that HE created already. Don’t be bitter that he was already successful and you aren’t. Who cares if you or I am “better” as a guitar player? Why shouldn’t he get to play like the rest of us? If you look at when he first started to now, he’s actually made a ton of progress. Good for him. At least he's attempting to learn & improve. In comparison to some of his early stuff, he definitely has. Not everyone has the talent, desire or work ethic to become a virtuoso. A LOT of guitarists(pro guitarists) stick around the minor pentatonic, developing good tone & learning to play for the song rather than their own ego.
