Practice practice practice. My sons band director always said one band one sound. If he didn get that, more practice was scheduled that band was fire and all of those kids got full ride scholar ships including my son.
I love the young man from Edna Karr..I have been following him since his high school day. He is excellent and in the right place. Looking forward to see him one day as the lead DM.
Carrie Knoten so true....and I remember him from Edna Karr as well....I’m glad he got to attend the college/university band of his dreams......His style is flawless and he will be lead drum major in the next year or so.......

These guys are exciting, they are in perfect form. They bring inspiration to people and high impactful energy in their performance. If this was 2yrs ago then they are still young. That group should audition for #AGT
I think it’s awesome these guys are still playing non-free floating snares with Mylar heads. Has such a great sound. Wish more lines would do that. Hard to keep in tune and maintain these drums, so much props to them!

I must say with all of this musical talent in all of the HBCU bands out there across the country. Why aren't there more musical groups like the way it use to be. I mean with full bands like the Commodores, KC and the Sunshine band, Ohio Players and my favorite Earth Wind and Fire. All that money on an education and four long years in a band I hope most of them are putting their instruments and talent to good use after school.
Your drum majors never cease to amaze me and I have watched them through the years. Their leaders must be pure dynamite. Their talent, coordination, stamina and endurance beats any band I have ever watched. Definitely a team of winners. The entire band is KILLER!!!
