A little description of what I was thinking when I was writing the composition c: The Lost Knight - since Capitano is considered by many to be a noble knight, the title of the track is just that. If he is a noble knight, then why he is in Fatui, and he is the fourth harbinger? Did he want to help other people? (however, we do know that the Fatui are known for wreaking chaos for their own gain) Does he think his choice is right in the depths of his soul? In my opinion, these thoughts torment him, and therefore he is the "Lost Knight". He has lost his way. Phase I: I started off with cinematic drum crescendo as the beginning of the battle. The piano and violins parts in minor scale symbolises the inner feelings of Capitano, that he may be wrong about his view of the world. 0:39 - violins and drums staccatos symbolises the atmosphere of the Natlan, where the battle is going. The magma, molten rocks in the background - they're fighting near the volcano. 0:59 - The battle gets more dangerous. Capitano says that they will fight until someone of them will die. And whoever wins will be right. 1:15 - Capitano takes his sword and the real battle begins. Phase II: I wanted to show the atmosphere of the place where Capitano and Traveler are fighting: magma flows everywhere, stones are falling, etc. The task of Fatui is to provoke the volcano to erupt, and there is not much time left before its eruption. I also wanted to show the strength of Capitano, as well as his inner pain and anger. (same with first phase, where violins and drums staccatos are entering) 3:46 - Capitano punches the Traveler very hard, so Traveler falls into a cliff, but manages to grab a ledge. The chords (C5, G#sus2, G5(#5)) are used to show the magma that flows under the Traveler. Despite the current situation, the Traveler climbs back up and continues the battle with Capitano. Aftermatch: Capitano defeated and he realised that he was wrong. The Traveler offers his help to get Capitano on the right path, but he refuses. The last words of Capitano were: I hope you make this world a better place. - after which Capitano jumps off a cliff. The traveler runs to the cliff to grab Capitano's hand, but he fails.
quite the dramatic approach ' ' but ye a lot expect a big volcano fight against him, as for me i do believe he is or extremely close to the blood stained knight a lot of things concords and might be why he was very formal toward La Signora he also did aid the knights of favonius as well but maybe his aim is needing further powers beyond these to his aim
Thank you!! I'm very glad that you like it! This is youtube, that's why many channels fly under the radars :c But still, I'm glad that youtube has started to show my tracks to the others
Must show yourself. I don't know but know the wave. Repeat the defeat. I'm a a hollow to insult to my drums. Danger and it's hurting my image to a loud noise. Protect the pack when it's weak. I'm a weakling. I grew up with them.
Mhmm, I must say, not bad at all. But, in some parts, it reminded me of Colombina's theme. Maybe too much. If you've got some time to spare me, can you please write me your description of Columbina's background and fight as an answer. Maybe doing this way, I'll find a way to fully sever the two themes, or to confirm my omen.
It can remind you because of guitar riffs itself, they are quiet similar (and because of clean guitar in the second verse too). But the story of that tracks is different. If in Columbina's the track starts with eerie, scary melodies and finishes gently (because Columbina can be referred to the angels), Capitano's theme sounds not eerie, but more tragic and epic, than Columbina's one. c:
@Project Elimination Yeah yeah, I wasn't implying they are the same, it's that I already knew some who used similar tones in different tracks as a "link" between OSTs. But my suspicion revealed to be worthless: in that case, you're completely right. Then, I can imply that I just overthought too much on your personal style, sorry.
