I own this pedal and it will never leave my board! Makes my rig and every pedal before or after it sound better! It is always on and I could not play a gig without it!
Jesse, your playing and sound in these videos is truly amazing! I had to stop playing many years ago so I'll never be a customer. But I still keep coming back to these demos. Just for the great sounds and your awesome playing. Thank you for that!
This video is the only video that truly approach the srv tone, the pedal sound unbelievable ! I know it s not only the pedal ,it will be great to know what amp and pickups, mic was used for this video
I'm sooo gonna steal some of your licks 😅 Don't own the Blues power (yet) but do have a 2018 Duellist. I play trough it with a LP into a Marshall (I know.. no fender strat or blackface amp, sacrilege!!) and it's my main drive together with a Greer lightspeed but I really need the Blues Power after seeing this. Thnx for churning out these amazing pedals!
Hey Jesse - would you suggest The Duellist into the Blues Power or vice-versa for the stacking? I know harder ODs first normally, but wanted your opinion, thanks.
I have the Duellist. It didn’t work for me for a couple days entail I started playing right. That sounds kinda crazy but there’s something to what I’m saying. I now really love the pedal. Dynamics, harmonics it’s pretty awesome.
Totally get what you are saying. It takes some tweaking for sure. You also need to play them through the right kind of amp. I own the Blues Power, Duellist and Ge Fuzz. The Fuzz is the only one that didn’t take any time to break in and get used to playing. Right off the bat it sounded incredible and was super easy to play.
I just got this pedal and it has kicked off my Lovepedal Super Six SRV mod pedal from my board. Both sound killer! However, I can hear my amp breathe with the Blues Power pedal. It’s sounds like the overdrive is built into my amp and that about the best I could ask for in an overdrive. It’s a keeper!
Just bought one today... Sounds incredible though my 64' princeton. I don't know if I like it more than the Honey Bee Amps Double Trouble but it's right up there with it. Plus the Double Trouble is ridiculously hard to find in the U.S.
The problem with Jesse's pedals is that it does not matter which pedal (or non at all) he announces, it will sound freakin' SRV's vibes all over, all of them sound awesome!
Got this pedal along with the germanium mini fuzz, I’m completely blown away. Along with the Deja Vu and Phase 90 + Echo (or delay) you get anything from Stevie to Jimmy with a Strat and wonderful mellow Peter Green tones with a Paul. If I want a less fuzzy OD I just use a OCD with a clean boost instead of BP and Fuzz.
3:29 that's a pretty monster lick ... you could say it combines a bit of a bit of Walter Trout, a bit of Eric johnson and a Bonamassa finale - but still mostly comes off sounding pretty naturally Stevie ...
Jesse please do a lesson on that version of life without you that just sounds heavenly my friend 🙏 Sold on the Blues power will probably go killer w my Twin
You make amazing pedals! I’m going to pickup a Mini Fuzz Ge asap. Been looking for a Vintage Fuzzface vibe Fuzz, with the right tone. Having searched the net, and bought some pedals that missed, I think the MF Ge will fit the bill? This Overdrive sounds amazing as well 🙄 Thank you for bring such great pedals to market. Looking forward to trying it out soon.
I use this into my Fender Prosonic clean channel, A/B Rectifier option, sounds like Sayce, SRV, amazing. My Blues Pedal Board is the Jam Wacko Wah, Kingtone GE Fuzz, Blues Power, Kingtone Soloist or my Free The Tone SOV-2 OD and a Way Huge Aqua Puss Mini to a Gig Rig Quartermaster 4. Blues Power always on, Jam Wah outside the switch. My best set-up yet after 20 years of searching. Finally satisfied. PS, I use the Amps Reverb. I also swap out the Kingtone Fuzz with the Keeley Fuzz Bender once in a while.
I love the sound of this pedal!! Got myself on the email notification as to when it'll be available again. Psyched indeed. Just curious....I love the bluesy jamming but do you have any other vids/samples available with more chording/simple riffing? I'd love to hear a couple of big, heavy riffs with this monster
Mostly what you hear is the sound of his room since the amp isn't directly mic'd and also the unamplified strings. Sounds like we are listening to the camera mic which is closer to the guitar than the amp. Impossible to tell what the pedal sounds like honestly, although I know for a fact that his pedals do sound fantastic.
CNCTEMATIC thanks for the input, I’m always learning how to do better demos. I use one close mic and a room mic so it gives you an idea of how the pedal would actually sound in the room with you. I’ll use very clean amp for future demos so you get little or no coloration.
Hey Jesse, I’ve just installed JBL E110s in my 65 Vibrolux and as you may know they don’t like overdrive pedals so much. Can you give me an example of good setting(maybe from inside the pedal) to recreate SRV sounds?
Hi, i just bought one...amazing! V1.7 what is the standard setting of the two internal switches? at the moment they are both upwards (on - ade02). it's correct? Thanks
@@jessetwohands gonna order this pedal and the duelist 2022 version these are hands down the best pedals for a fender black face amp i have ever heard .
I’m struggling to dial the Blues Power pedal’s volume in. It’s just not been playing nice with my Mesa Boogie Lonestar or my other pedals. I’ll keep banging my head on the wall as all Jesse’s pedal ooze SRV but it’s been a frustrating week to setup a usable pedalboard for live shows with unity gain being so elusive.
Wow... 20 year vet of overdrive and live gigs... I want this on my board. First of all... great demo - top quality sound, top quality narrative... keep going mate.... awesome. Second... Do I buy from you directly?
Sounds superb. The problem is that Jesse could make a turnip sound fantastic. Truly one of the worlds greatest sounding guitarists. Makes for great ears I guess, which certainly seems to make for great sounding products.
Hello Jesse! I have the Blues Power and it’s simply amazing. When you dial the treble all the way up it’s sounds great. When I’m trying it on my Blues Power it sounds very harsh even when the amp treble is off(Hiwatt DR 103). can you explain how you get that tone with this extreme setting on the treble knob? Thanks in advance🙏🏻
Can’t get an answer on the power supply that if it’s positive or negative. One thing I just learned that adapters are either ac or dc and the blues power is dc. Interesting thanks
To get a TubeScreamer style tone from the Blues Power you need to roll the bass almost all the way down, the treble should be below half way and the toggle on warm. You can get very close to a TS tone like this.
Hey Jessie.....have any extra pedals you don't need anymore....maybe just taking up too much space? I would love to assist you in solving that problem. For a very small fee I could "hold" them for you for a while. Heck, you're such a good guy I could (just this one time) wave the fee......
I just want them all 🤨 “respectfully”, really this seems like a variation on the Duellist. Like in between the Duellist and the 2 knob red FUZZ. Jesse?
Mark I have both the duellist and blues power. Yes they are both drive pedals but very different. I prefer blues power as it seems more open and wide as far as it’s frequency spectrum
The Blues Power has a very amp-like tone, this largely due to the dual clipping stages and strong tone controls. A lot of players are using it as an amp-in-a-box pedal although it wasn't specifically designed with that in mind.
I wish I could play like this. I also wish that if I could, I'd had the chops and insight to also play something else. In these demos everything seems to sound the same - because he just plays the same 3 riffs all over again...
This sound is incredible fat and nice. But your "clean" sound from your Fender Twin is already incredible fat and nice from it self! A FTwin is clean till the end so this must be a modded FTwin.
Absolutely, if you’re after the Timmy style tone, 100% get a Timmy, they are awesome!! The Blues Power has some similarities but overall quite a different sounding unit.

Danny Brooks Mostly the tone is coming from the amp. Jesse always sounds more or less like this. And this is what a Timmy sounds like into a cranked black face. Jese's pedal demos all sound similar to me (great), but I think a huge element is his amazing amps, not a really clear demo.
Mostly what you hear is the sound of his room since the amp isn't directly mic'd and also the unamplified strings. Sounds like we are listening to the camera mic which is closer to the guitar than the amp. Speakers and cabs have (far) more impact on tone than the amp does.

If you are using a completely clean amp, you would ideally set the treble on the pedal lower but use the "edge" setting to get a very similar tone.
Hey! If you are using a powerful amp like the HiWatt you would need to set the Blues Power differently. Use the Edge setting but the treble quite low.
Hi Jessy, is this better 'eq-able' than the Duelist? Is it based on a tube screamer? Or is this something really different?
