I put off reading lightbringer for a week when I got it delivered. Having now finished it I can’t stopped thinking about it. If anyone hasn’t read the Red Rising series yet, please give it a chance. It is my favourite series.
I just finished Masters of Death after falling HARD for One For My Enemy and it did not disappoint!! It felt so unique and quirky but still really impactful. I hope you enjoy!!

Great to see you back in another vlog. Intrigued to hear your thoughts on The Gleanings, I adored the Scythe series but hated with a passion The Gleanings and it massively affected my reading in the worst way. It is written by many different orders and my goodness I thought it was absolute shit xx
Interesting that you took issue with there not being full cast audio, because Pierce switching back to only TGR was in direct response to most fans not liking the other narrators he’d brought in for Iron Gold and Dark Age lol
I wonder if the full-cast audio thing is because of the SAG-AFTA strike here in the US...? I know audiobook narration is covered by SAG, so maybe they couldn't get other actors while SAG's striking or something. (I may be talking straight out of my butt; I know nothing about the union or the strike. Just seems like if they've all been full-cast, but now suddenly *isn't*, there must be a reason for it beyond just oversight, especially given how popular the series is.)
I think it said somewhere that Timothy Gerard Reynolds is a member of SAG-AFTRA. You may be right but idk the ins and outs enough to know why he’d still do the narration if no one else was?
They changed the narration due to fan feedback, and in the final book Pierce wanted to bring it back to the roots of the series with TGR. He talks about it in an interview, I just can’t remember which.
@@BeccaandTheBooks Actually, I'm way off base -- the SAG strike only counts for work with Hollywood, and audiobook work is specifically mentioned as being okay. (I got curious after thinking about it way too long yesterday. :D) That and stagework are the only real ways for actors to make a few bucks during the strike, I guess. Which doesn't explain why there was a format change, but was sorta interesting just on a "oh, and..." level. :D

I also DNF’ed the Blood Grace series, it was NOT it for me
