Parents dropping their kids off. Come on that’s the most ridiculous statement that’s could be made. These so called kids live close to downtown or they ride public transportation to get there. Don’t know that many Black parents drop there kid off downtown. Mainly there are many Black Parents (Husband and Wife raising kids). It mainly a Black Mom raising kids Father aren’t part of the equation.

I lived downtown STL I moved out of my condo at the W and never looked back at St Louis both the local government and police don't give a damn it's all about the money screw the safety of the people! Nice place to visit for an hour or two but not to live😏
I worked at Lucas & Hunt Village for 4 years. It was insane then and it's worse now.

@@dollarbillz9502 I moved away years ago. To L.A and now Dallas. Neither city has anywhere near as much crime and I felt far safer even with all the homeless people. It is unreal how dangerous st.louis has become.

Crime will continue to flourish because the City Prosecutor is useless and unqualified. The police department is way short on manpower and the City Prosecutor hates the police department which is really a cluster. So crime runs rampant.

I really wish the news stop trying to associate other events with criminal events! The Annie Malone paraded ended at 5 that evening and it was peaceful! That had nothing to do with this incident!

I have no problem for tightening up laws for background checks and waits to help prevent the mass shooters that make up a small percentage of the overall gun killings.

There're just kids ,they will grow out it ,it's a phase they're going through, if they live long enough . It seems to be kids having kids without parenting skills, you have a young single mother with kids ,what kind man is she's involved with, it depends on her ,what's her lifestyle, is she on drugs, is dating excons, and there are some mother kids are with the wrong kind of kids that does things behind there parent s back. And she thinks There're little angels. Until they end up dead. Those are some of the parents excuses they would use for their problem child . Some kids don't have the luxury to have someone to teach them right from wrong. Some kids grew up in a bad influence .they need a good role model. The real problem is how are they getting access to guns?
Don't forget about the progressive mayor and district attorney who defund police and would send social workers to these shootings.

Man this sucks. Any St. Louis locals have recommendations for safe neighborhoods ? Just got a job offer in St. Louis and now this video pops up
West and south St. Louis county are the safest parts if you don’t mind the commute. Also no one was injured by this event to my knowledge, probably just some dumb teens trying to be cool. Most of the actual serious violent crimes happen in the neighborhoods north and even a little south of the city. I also personally feel pretty safe downtown whenever I go to a game or something though. Just be aware of your surroundings, do some research, and you’ll be fine.

It depends on what type of neighborhood you are looking for. Urban, suburban or rural. All are in easy reach of St. Louis.
St. Louis city is a story of three cities rolled in to one. North side has some dilapidated areas and very violent in parts. South city gives you poor, working class, middle class and upper class all on the same block. Some like it and consider it eclectic others consider it sketchy. The central corridor is where you have better amenities and things to do.
St. Louis county has some safe areas. Not as many transplants and may be hard to feel in place if you are not from St. Louis. There are many online resources that break down the benefits of living in different parts of St. Louis city and county. I like to recommend niche. If you are purchasing a home, find a good realtor.
I would advise moving out to Washington in Franklin County and driving.
