Pan the camera on the character's face and then make them turn 180 degrees and walk ahead in the opposite direction of where they are facing. Their bodies turn first in the direction in which you are asking them to move and then their face turns. I don't think this always happens, but I've definitely seen it a few times, particularly with Ellie. The 'body first' movement and then the face and neck seems like a nice touch. I think this could be when their vision is originally fixated on something interesting. So they're still looking at it even though you want them to turn away from it.
@Stephen Hughes I think a lot of people miss half the fun of TLOU gameplay because they just stealth kill everything. I deliberately play a variety of different ways each time and often just restart the fight because I didn’t fully use the area or thought of another approach that could be fun. It’s like filming your own stealth action zombie movie. It’s the smoothest and most realistic gameplay I’ve ever experienced - and yes, also one of the most fun and exhilarating.
1) I don't know if this counts but Final Fantasy 7 Remake's story can be altered depending on the choices you make: -In the bike chase with Roche, Jessie will kiss Cloud if he doesn't take too much damage on the bike. If he does take lots of damage, she'll criticize his driving skills -You can choose what dress each character will wear in Wall Market depending on your actions in Chapter 3, 8, and 9 -The next party member will join the Sephiroth fight depending on the affection rate 2) The announcer during the Hell House boss fight will react and comment on what summons you used 3) When fighting Rude for the 1st and 2nd time, he will not attack Aerith or Tifa. Instead he'll just put them to sleep because he's not one to harm women 4) Cloud and his friends will put one arm to shield their eyes when starring at a bright light 5) Cloud and his friends will dance when they're near a juke box 6) Cloud will make commentary depending on what's going on in battle. For example: -If he uses Fire Materia, he'll say "BURN!!" -If he's in Punisher Mode he says "Try me" -If he's low on health he says "Not looking good" -If he uses his Limited Break he says "Let's dance ASSHOLE!!!" 7) Once a battle ends, sometimes the characters will have a short conversation -Cloud: You're good at this -Tifa: Told ya so 8) If you go the wrong way, your party members will tell you to come back (with various different dialogues of course) 9) You will earn more flowers after every round during the Corneo Cup 10) Both Rufus and Sephiroth are one of the few bosses that will block and counter attack Cloud's melee attacks 11) When taking the long flight of stairs during the Shinra Building chapter, the music will get more faded the higher you go up
In terms of visuals and details the game is perfect. However, the story isn’t the best. In my opinion they did things out of order. They should have had us play as Abby at the very beginning and get us attached to her before we find out that she wants to kill Joel. That way there’s not any bias against her and she actually has a fair chance.
@@blueflare3848 The point was always to start off the player absolutely hating Abby and then from that perspective challenge them to empathize with her by playing her side of the story. It is interesting because it shows the attachment we have towards the main characters are almost entirely emotional rather than logical and therefore how hard it is to be fair to the other side of conflict. What I liked about Part II is that a lot of people including me got attached to both Ellie and Abby after experiencing the whole game so I think it is impressive that Naugthy Dog managed to make us relate to Abby without going the easy route or taking any shortcuts.
Red dead is just an absolute testament to the next generation of games. Despite rockstar's infrequent game releases and their next to non-existent game updates, they are still to me, the best game devs out there for their attention to detail.
Man the voices in that game always seemed off, deacon especially. Dude's talking quietly to a group of people but screams at the top of his lungs when he's on a bike, but also only sometimes
I was like Eliiiii, hands down last of us and last of us 2 are the best games. I got both of them and I still play them, I know each level by heart how many zombies how many humans, I complete the game without being touched by anyone of them 😂I obsessed with these two games
Simply no. GoT had better story, better plot, better characters, better story development, artistic graphics and good combat. Tlou2 in my opinion didn't deserve more than 2 awards but seems like Naughty Dog paid GOTY sh*tload of money to pull out them awards.
Although this game DOES have contextual voice lines, this isn't one of them. Sometimes they just change some lines for others to enhance replayability. Most, if not all voice lines have 2-3 different takes that play out randomly for the sake of variation.
People spend too much time hating the story of a game they never played and forget that one of the best studios made this, the story suffers(not even by much) but the gameplay and attention to detail is phenomenal
Ghost of Tsushima was so surface level in every regard compared to this. This game absolutely deserved all the awards and its a shame some people don't realize this because of a character death or the inclusion of LGBTQ characters or muscular women 🤦♂️
@@swag858Please, 99% of the critics are about Abby and the story. that's not broad at all. Why do you think some people call her Abbyzilla for instance then? PS: still doesn't change the fact that GOT won player's voice instead of TLOU2, so when players got to pick, strangely, results are very different.
I like how it was like. When you're crouching you basically have a little bit of blackout making you don't wanna talk. But when you're standing you basically have a more clear head and view of sight.
her voice sounds more strained when she’s crouching as opposed to when she’s walking, where she sounds more relaxed. it’s a tiny detail that barely anyone would notice.
That's also in spiderman. When you are swinging the voice sounds more strained but when walking its relaxed. They must have recorded everything double!
It takes care of the details so much, that in TLOU 1, the bolt rifle doesn't need the bolt apparently! Apparently they forgot this detail, which should be something standard, ended up turning a bolt-on rifle into a semi-auto rifle
Honestly, iv'e played the Nier series and other games where main characters you really like die brutally. Espeditolito man there are entire videos about it and yet i still think there are so many things we haven’t noticed. but my favorite details are probably the skin texture and the way the breathing changes depending on what’s happening around you. as for other tiny details, in the museum with ellie and joel you can find laura’s (abby’s) son’s name on a poster. or when you carry dina to the theater, a poster to your right says “save mother”, and so many other things. the developers really made a masterpiece out of this game, that’s for sure.
spiderman does this too, if he is web-slinging or fighting his voice sounds a lot more strained and loud, but if you are just standing normally he talks calmly and quietly
I don’t think people realise what a masterpiece this game is, it’s got a 50/50 rep, but that’s people who can’t let go of a charismatic, peripheral character, pains me that because of that this isn’t known as the greatest interactive game known to date and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be unknowingly for a long time.
Slow down with the high praise. The production quality was amazing, but the writing was mediocre. Also, it's a casual game, average shooter, with super easy puzzle solving. It's more like an interactive movie. The gameplay isn't very dense because there's a LOT of narrative exposition and busy work, which inflates gameplay time.
I know! I love this game and the graphics. The story was amazing and people only hate on it because of the _messages_ that the game sends even though it accounts for like 5% of the story and the death of Joel. But if there is no angst then what is the point?
@@depressantdrug it comes down to the massive ludo narrative dissonance, the way the game tries to make you feel bad for forcing you to do this you don't want to do, killing Joel for the idea of revenge only to then not follow through with that despite ellies conquest of killing a ton of people who didnt even know who Joel was, giving you tasks that you may not want to do such as get revenge for Joel because you may not have agreed with his choice at the end of the first game or kill ellie because you dont like abby and actual do want to get revenge for Joel
I dont know how they can give stunning moments of clarity into details like this, but not fix the horrible contrivances and ludonarrative dissonance in the storyline. Im still glad in terms of it being a game and not a story its still rather impressive this was done, and all the more heartbreaking. Appreciate videos like this though, thanks for posting.
The pacing is shit and the ending doesn’t correlate with the whole journey, but this game is amazing in every other aspect, perhaps the best there is as of now in many aspects

The 'body first' movement and then the face and neck seems like a nice touch. I think this could be when their vision is originally fixated on something interesting. So they're still looking at it even though you want them to turn away from it.
This is in red dead and uncharted too, i expect we'll see it even more next gen
This game is a masterpiece.
they did similar stuff with Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: Lost Legacy.probably used those as their trial run for perfecting these smaller details too
And yet, a lot of people hate this game just because Joel dies and you have to play as the "bad" girl. Too sad for those ignorants
exactly, so much mindless hate
If you can't hear the difference:
0:04 vs 0:09
I don’t understand, why are there differences for the same line
What I like about the details is how they run and sprint, you surely feels it
I can’t understand what’s the detail😖
pay attention to ashley johnson’s voice. it changes depending on whether you’re walking or crouching
@@canniloni yeah
@Stephen Hughes i genuinely think youre the only person with that opinion lol, thats fine tho
@Stephen Hughes you're an idiot the gameplay was godly lmao
@Stephen Hughes I think a lot of people miss half the fun of TLOU gameplay because they just stealth kill everything. I deliberately play a variety of different ways each time and often just restart the fight because I didn’t fully use the area or thought of another approach that could be fun. It’s like filming your own stealth action zombie movie. It’s the smoothest and most realistic gameplay I’ve ever experienced - and yes, also one of the most fun and exhilarating.
1) I don't know if this counts but Final Fantasy 7 Remake's story can be altered depending on the choices you make:
-In the bike chase with Roche, Jessie will kiss Cloud if he doesn't take too much damage on the bike. If he does take lots of damage, she'll criticize his driving skills
-You can choose what dress each character will wear in Wall Market depending on your actions in Chapter 3, 8, and 9
-The next party member will join the Sephiroth fight depending on the affection rate
2) The announcer during the Hell House boss fight will react and comment on what summons you used
3) When fighting Rude for the 1st and 2nd time, he will not attack Aerith or Tifa. Instead he'll just put them to sleep because he's not one to harm women
4) Cloud and his friends will put one arm to shield their eyes when starring at a bright light
5) Cloud and his friends will dance when they're near a juke box
6) Cloud will make commentary depending on what's going on in battle. For example:
-If he uses Fire Materia, he'll say "BURN!!"
-If he's in Punisher Mode he says "Try me"
-If he's low on health he says "Not looking good"
-If he uses his Limited Break he says "Let's dance ASSHOLE!!!"
7) Once a battle ends, sometimes the characters will have a short conversation
-Cloud: You're good at this
-Tifa: Told ya so
8) If you go the wrong way, your party members will tell you to come back (with various different dialogues of course)
9) You will earn more flowers after every round during the Corneo Cup
10) Both Rufus and Sephiroth are one of the few bosses that will block and counter attack Cloud's melee attacks
11) When taking the long flight of stairs during the Shinra Building chapter, the music will get more faded the higher you go up
Lets be honest here the only reason why we dont like part 2 is bc joel died
But we do like tlou2
not really the narrative direction is still a bit of a train wreck, however the gameplay is fucking great
every day I learn something new about this game! so amazing
Amazing!
If you hate the game, fine?
But If you say it’s a bad and you’re nuts.
That’s what I’m saying man. People can’t take it from naughty dog. Even tho they killed off basically the main character, it was still a great game
@@jae5l- I enjoyed it, personally and I understand that some people didn’t but ND but their heart and soul into this.
In terms of visuals and details the game is perfect. However, the story isn’t the best. In my opinion they did things out of order. They should have had us play as Abby at the very beginning and get us attached to her before we find out that she wants to kill Joel. That way there’s not any bias against her and she actually has a fair chance.
@The Jakob Hallett Nerve Centre Yeah, you're probably right. You can’t please everyone, unfortunately.
Red dead does the same thing with the horse riding.
Red dead is just an absolute testament to the next generation of games. Despite rockstar's infrequent game releases and their next to non-existent game updates, they are still to me, the best game devs out there for their attention to detail.
@@harrisonw6065 truer words have never been spoken.

Deacon on his bike be like:
"HEY KID, ARE YOU OKAY BACK THERE?"
"I'm fine"
"GOOD TO HEAR IT, GIRL"
Man the voices in that game always seemed off, deacon especially. Dude's talking quietly to a group of people but screams at the top of his lungs when he's on a bike, but also only sometimes

Despite the shitty story writing in this Past of Us, you can't deny the fact that its graphic is incredible, same goes to attention to details.
I was like Eliiiii, hands down last of us and last of us 2 are the best games. I got both of them and I still play them, I know each level by heart how many zombies how many humans, I complete the game without being touched by anyone of them 😂I obsessed with these two games
They are not zombies...
@@marinmijic8411 lol my bad, the infected people
I know, I can't stop replaying part2
Wow that attention to detail😳😲🤯
This game deserves Game of the Year for these details alone. Ghost of Tsushima's details don't even come close.
Simply no. GoT had better story, better plot, better characters, better story development, artistic graphics and good combat. Tlou2 in my opinion didn't deserve more than 2 awards but seems like Naughty Dog paid GOTY sh*tload of money to pull out them awards.
the graphics are insane
i found the same thing in gta 4 but niko changes what he says for 5 time ever checkpoint restart it was an awsome thing
Although this game DOES have contextual voice lines, this isn't one of them. Sometimes they just change some lines for others to enhance replayability. Most, if not all voice lines have 2-3 different takes that play out randomly for the sake of variation.
Nice find!
Spiderman did the same thing, look at some videos of how Peter delivers his lines during him swinging or just standing.
WOW SO MUCH DETAIL

It's one of the best

People spend too much time hating the story of a game they never played and forget that one of the best studios made this, the story suffers(not even by much) but the gameplay and attention to detail is phenomenal
You’re in denial bud you only like it cause it’s a part 2 and it’s the last we’re getting you don’t truly enjoy it
Ghost of Tsushima was so surface level in every regard compared to this. This game absolutely deserved all the awards and its a shame some people don't realize this because of a character death or the inclusion of LGBTQ characters or muscular women 🤦♂️
No I think they just simply did not like the story of the game. No one cared about Dina and Ellie or Abby. It was mostly the gameplay choice and story
@@waveydaveygaming8107 I know a lot of people that cared about Dina and Abby, including myself. That's a pretty broad statement.

reason why I still love this game lol
Imagine if they had the same level of plot.
it reminds me of both spiderman and miles morales when they dont swing they sound calmed but when they are swinging or running the sound agitated
Wish they had this insane attention to detail regarding the story as well.
They did
They did.
I like how it was like. When you're crouching you basically have a little bit of blackout making you don't wanna talk. But when you're standing you basically have a more clear head and view of sight.
What difference here? Any explanation please?
her voice sounds more strained when she’s crouching as opposed to when she’s walking, where she sounds more relaxed. it’s a tiny detail that barely anyone would notice.
@@canniloni wow, interesting
That's also in spiderman. When you are swinging the voice sounds more strained but when walking its relaxed. They must have recorded everything double!
Damn if only this much love and attention was given to the story
Nice finding
It takes care of the details so much, that in TLOU 1, the bolt rifle doesn't need the bolt apparently! Apparently they forgot this detail, which should be something standard, ended up turning a bolt-on rifle into a semi-auto rifle
I genuinely dont get what's so special here... am I missing something? Legit question.
@@Kendorable the same kinda stuff happens in Red Dead 2. Its nothing groundbreaking Naughty Dog accomplished.
@@KazuhasKatana Red Dead 2 and Spiderman PS4 both pulled out this detail almost 3 years ago so yeah you're right.

Exactly what I was thinking.
This is just like in that other AAA game that horribly abuses their devs in order to have insane details in this game that don't really matter.
So this is where the employee crunch time went
if only if they couldve put that much attention into the story
Explanation is in the video description incase people don't notice the detail.
Thanks 😊
Thanks i was confused
Honestly, iv'e played the Nier series and other games where main characters you really like die brutally.
Idk I feel like this game got massive shit on when it came out due to it being the popular opinion, at least we got a game that actually took its time developing instead of Naughty Dog releasing an unfinished game with a lot of bugs. Not shitting on Cyberpunk, but I am shitting on the fans of it and the choice the developers made. As a wise creator once said, "You're all free to have your expectations, and we're all free to break them as we see fit." -Yoko Taro
One question, how did you notice this?
i’ve played through the game around 5 times and every time i had the first version and suddenly during my next playthrough i had the second one, which i had never heard before.
@@canniloni Naughty Dog's attention to detail may be insane, but yours is admirable too!
Espeditolito aww thank you
@@canniloni Ahahah ehy you're welcome
Anyway, I wonder how many insane details like this are there in the game that we didn't notice; I really appreciate when developers work hard to make these things, even if they know that the majority of the players won't even notice them (that's real passion for your job)
Spider-Man has a similar thing where Peter will struggle to talk on the phone while web slinging but will talk normally when on the ground
I dont get it
But at least I got this in my recommendations

If only the story was as good as the gameplay and attention to detail
@@depressantdrug Did you actually think the story was well-written? There's many more writing problems than just Joel's death scene.
