born in 1961 and now almost 2 generations later I’ve always wondered where “time went?” Well, after seeing your video I now realize that “time” is well and living in your home! Wow! Such precious memories are rekindled watching your video. Interestingly enough it touched a few soft spots: amazement, wow’d, and almost a ....tear but of joy. Your collection is nostalgically beautiful. Thank you for sharing. 🙏
Thank you so much for your kind words and your story! Time is flying by but we are still young, I am glad this collection takes you to a great place, keep it in your heart and let it radiate out, keep that inner kid in you for life :), cheers mate
From a collector to a collector, I'll share my toy epiphany. Having lost all interest in juvenile things (scale models, video games etc.) in my 20s, I replaced them with girls, cars and beer. In 1996 or 97 (26 years old), I was bored one afternoon and went for a ride on my motorcycle. I was passing Atomic Comics in Mesa Az and decided to stop. I was walking around the store, still bored with all the same superheros, and modern day stuff. At the back of the store there was a shelf near the ceiling and on the shelf was a pack of action figures that looked oddly familiar. Everything from what I could see was written in Japanese. I asked the attendant to let me have a closer look and when he handed me the box, I got this crazy rush of nostalgia. As if to unlock my childhood memory bank. It was ULTRAMAN! After staring at it for a few minutes I asked the guy how much and he said $60. Well that just popped my bubble. No Thanks!! He said, Ive had those figures in here unsold for years, how about I let you have them for half off? SOLD!! Well as if to give an addict dope, the internet was in its infancy. I started researching Ultraman and one page after another, I was led from one memory to another. By this time, Ebay is on the scene and Im going hog wild and driving my wife bonkers with what she deemed a dirty little hobby. To sum it up, I havent looked back and have been collecting ever since. I have just about purchased every example of a toy that I had as a kid that I can remember. I recently purchased a 1971 Marx Big Wheel in gently used condition and its the highlight of my collection, right next to my 1978 Marx Green Machine. AND I got rid of the wife but I still have my collection. M78 FTW HAHA
LOL.......great story, sounds a little familiar to mine lol. Would love to see your collection Pete, either pics or video would be cool. Amazing how it starts this collecting bug :P
Wow, I also went through a divorce and a NASTY one at that... But I could finally realise this dream I've had for at least 10 years. And I found a new amazing woman💞 Cheers!
It was a download made available on a collector site years ago, I had some quality paper and access to a high end printer so I printed it and put it together, made 2, one for a close buddy and myself, love the film. If I find the file I will keep you posted
From a child from the 70's/80's 48 yrs old now , this collection is absolutely amazing , museum quality and beyond nostalgic .Congrats to you my friend with having such a fine collection .Some highlights were the SSP Demolition Derby and Six Million Dollar Man , with Pulsar thrown into the display .Suggest adding some Micronauts to the collection.
Thanks for the compliments Carlos, Micronauts were the last toys for me, then I discovered women and Metal and surprisingly enough I never had any in my collection even though I really liked them alot, oh well. I have sold at least half of my collection that you see here, only keeping my Star Wars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox Superfast and movie related items now. I am very surprised of all the kind words over the years since I have posted this video and the amount of people who have liked it, thanks again :)
If I say I’ve watched this video at least 10 times it’s probably been more like 20. I watched it just moments ago at quarter speed and still found something new or I should say I found another old memory. This time it was the Mattel Wizzer top. I had one with the very same colors too. Of all the collections I’ve seen on RUclips yours is the most heartwarming of them all. I can see the passion in your finds and it’s displayed with love for the things from your childhood. Most of the displays on RUclips are new toys placed together with equal parts of OCD and Detolfs, but yours is definitely one to appreciate for the time it took to bring it all together. 👍🏼✌🏼👌🏼😎
That brought back some memories. I especially remember the 6 million dollar man figure. Also the mouse trap set from the early 80’s. Fantastic collection, nicely displayed. Thanks for sharing
evel knievel thank you, sure was, although most of it is for sale(a lot sold already) at least I can always look at my collection and share it with the world, if it sparks great memories in people than my collector mission is accomplished :)
Ah! A kindred spirit! Amazing video and collection, friend. I love everything about it, and I remember just about everything you own in the collection. I also have a nice collection of toys, figures, cars, comics, sports memorabilia, and I'm a musician as well. Thanks for sharing this!
Collectorofstuff thanks for the kind words, glad you liked it. Would love to see your collection as well, feel free to send me pics or a link on youtube......cheers
I am a toy collector from St. Cloud Minnesota. I played with most of those toys myself. I was flying my police Virti bird the other day. I noticed the Huskies hockey puck. I graduated from SCSU and went to almost every hockey game the year Herb Brooks coached. Tell me that great collection is in St. Cloud !!??
Hi, I’m curious if you still have your precious collection? I ask because as of late quite a few collectors are now selling to move on to other things (thankfully I am NOT one of them!) Your collection is awe inspiring!

Thanks, great memories in those cabinets. Some of my buddies had no clue I was a collector, when they saw my collection they freaked out in good way. Stories and memories we shared, some I had forgotten, felt like little kids again, one of my buddies even called his MOM while he was looking at all the toys and was discussing what he was seeing, pretty cool experience :)
Awesome. I have about a hundred Evel Knievel Figures and all the Stunt Bikes, etc MIB mostly from 70’s to current and a Huge Mego Collection ! Who wants them
@@BAK-zl5yn I am, well I was as I started selling my collection 6 years ago, keeping only the Hot Wheels and Star Wars, the rest sold or is being sold, all good, still have the video to look at whenever I miss it, did not think I would get this many people looking at it though, WOW!!!!

Those tabletop Frogger, Galaxian and Pac Man video games were actually 80's toys. Still, you have quite an impressive collection! I absolutely loved the Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars and the Mego superhero figures in the original boxes! If you still have those Mego figures and the video games (in working condition) and want to sell, drop me a line and quote me a price.
Thank you :) Sold the games and the Mego's already, the Hot Wheels and Star Wars items I am holding onto for now, the rest is currently being sold, cheers
love the hotwheels stuff man....that and the Star Wars stuff I had as a kid is an area I didn't collect much of. Now the Carded SW figures are almost out of reach cost wise
Really nice collection. Question: There was a motorcycle toy that had a man sitting on it. I think he attached to the bike at the legs and hands. When the bike crashed, he flew off. No, it wasn't Evel Knievel. I remember that toy. That came out when I was around 10. This toy came out before Evel. The motorcycles and figures were a bit smaller. I remember there was a series of them.
