Love that you started off with the fact that you don't HAVE to apply to commercial TCs just because you are a law student. I feel like it's way too easy so fall into this trap, especially when you're just unsure about what to do in the future
So happy you picked up on this Shannon, it's literally so important! I definitely fell into that trap initially but glad I snapped out of it and gave myself the opportunity to explore loads of options, before settling on commercial law 🥰
When you spoke about having traits that aren’t unique but having experiences to showcase those traits that are unique was an excellent tip. Will definitely utilise it!
I absolutely love your way of thinking, I can remember going in for a job interview and so many people had gone in, they really looked the part, and I totally felt out of place! but I was the one who they chose! that was a shocker
aw so glad to hear that! I can definitely resonate with this situation; sometimes these worries are built up in your head, when in reality you're everything the employer was looking for :)
Self belief point is massive. Literally, no one can be you better than yourself. Also shout out to you smashing out apps. You’re right, you literally only get better through doing 💪🏾
This video came on my recommended and honestly it’s weird that it came at the best time. Very insightful and helpful as someone who’s currently going through al of this now. Great video!

This was such a useful video Simranjeet 🙌🏾. I am currently doing training contracts applications in my third year. I couldn’t agree more on all the tips you have mentioned 👏🏾.
@@sarahconnolly9950 NO WAY! that's AMAZING OMG!! That's such a fantastic achievement 👏🏽 I've already made a video about doing well in vac schemes, but I may make an updated video on this so do look out for that. Wishing you all the best for your vac scheme regardless, and in the meantime I hope you're celebrating ✨
@@simranjeetkmann thank you SM 😭❤️ this is the DREAM compliment coming from you! I've honestly watched that vid about 10 times, but an updated one aimed at incoming virtual vac schemers this summer going more in depth into your tips and specifics of how you'd make impressions virtually would be so helpful! Even a chunk at the end of the vid dedicated to the assessments for TCs would be great, in-tray/swot etc. Your 38 min vid recently was the best vid ever so the longer the better! Thank you so much again for all your help which has undoubtably allowed me to get this far already Sim🥳🥰

@@simranjeetkmann thank you I’m just having a hard time balancing my courseworks and exams but also applying for TC or VS. I’m due to start my lpc this sept and I’m taking the risk to start without a TC 🤕

I find it challenging to articulate in my applications the fact that I lack GCSEs or A levels. I completed my education at a Persian school in Athens, which unfortunately no longer exists. While I possess a transcript, the grading system used there differs from that of the UK. As a result, I believe that this discrepancy has led to rejections in my applications. It is difficult for me to present a flawless application when I struggle to explain this situation. As a mature student who embarked on studying law at the age of 25 and is currently enrolled in an LPC course, I would greatly appreciate any tips or advice you may have to offer.
Hiya, just a question because I'm kind of confused atm. I'm in my third/last year of my law degree (LLB), can I do a training contract or work experience before taking the SQE, or do I pass the SQE first and then find training? Does the order matter? What do you recommend? And where can I find good courses for the SQE?
Is it true that international students studying LLB face too much of difficulty for getting the training contracts and lpc??? If it's true then is it worth doing LLB in UK as an international student???
Hiya - I cannot comment on international students because I'm a British national. I would say the process is difficult generally, however with international students there's the added complications with visas and sponsorship too. I wouldn't say it's impossible though - I know international students who have secured TC's so it's definitely possible.
Thanks for the videos! I don't know if the audience would agree, but I think your videos would be much better without any background music (especially those where it's just you talking).
Anytime!! No way - never considered this actually; I thought without the music, viewers might get sick of hearing my just voice hahaha! I'll definitely keep this in mind (perhaps turning the background music down more and also releasing some without music). Thanks so much for the tip ☺️
@@simranjeetkmann thank you for taking the time to reply with such a positive response. I just think that it feels more natural to hear just the person's voice in advice-type videos that last more than 10 minutes. Otherwise I lose my focus and pay more attention to the music. But idk, maybe ask what everybody else thinks in the next video to get a consensus? :)
@@cihangirgs4703 you raise a very fair point, I'll definitely ask around and see! Just finished editing a new video for this week, and I've turned the volume of the background music very low. So hopefully this should make a difference :)
