I agree, after watching Fields miss multiple throws in the Steelers game tonight feels like we’re way better off. I was a Fields guy too, but with him at the helm, we would be mediocre with some fun highlights. With Caleb and all the other additions, we’re must see TV. And, must be feared by our opponents. We beat the Chiefs Thursday, I know it’s preseason, but that’s beating every AFC division winner
Harrison said it right month’s ago, Fields’ ceiling is Caleb’s floor. They’re just not remotely comparable. Caleb is out here looking like Mahomes three weeks in. Christ, even Tyreek Hill went public with it. He’s elite with a capital E talent. It is arguable he has more tools than ANYONE in the NFL, just need to develop it.
Caleb did not look awful lol there was nothing there and extremely passive vanilla play calls. The offense just didn’t get progression there is a difference. But yeah glad for Bagent that was nice. Wanted him to start last year.
C- for me considering it was Bengals backups on the field. What happened today is concerning to me because nothing they designed and called worked. They were forced to play backyard football and that style of play is not sustainable. The three and outs and struggles moving the ball while defense balled out was so Bears-esque, and that’s not a good thing.
My guy the bears didn’t flip past page one of the playbook until the third drive. They hardly tried until then. Bengals got got in practice first string and second string. Our second stringers picked off burrow. Ain’t that worrying what happened in the game.
I’m super excited for this season. In reality, I realize that our starting defense had better look good against their 2nd string offense, and our starting offense didn’t really play that well against their 2nd string defense, which is a little concerning. All in all, a win builds confidence which is what the team needs.
C he definitely looked very iffy to start against the second string which makes me very nervous but he did pick it up well. He does seem to move around alot which looked great but could big issue against some first stringers but he definitely has the attributes to be are guy

You have to realize that every game that Caleb plays won’t always be a good one. At least the bears are letting him play in an actual game unlike the past where they wouldn’t play their starters at all. Caleb shows flashes and it’s only a matter of time before he gets comfortable and starts being more consistent.
I would rate Caleb a C, he had me worried at first with his “choppiness” They started off rocky but ended well. I think they are still getting used to playing with each other & it was also a new defense they were playing against with the Bengals. It of course could’ve gone better but I think we’re off to a good start :)
You don’t give Bagent enough love. Bagent reminds me of Warner. You have to remember that Warner played elsewhere to get his experience and then hit the NFL like a storm. I’m not saying he should start before Williams but he will be a starter at some time and will have some success.
