Better vaccination rates could help curb spread of whooping cough, epidemiologist says

More than 140 cases of whooping cough have been confirmed in New Brunswick, prompting the province to declare an outbreak. Dr. Christopher Labos says when whooping cough outbreaks happen, it’s usually due to a combination of waning immunity and a lack of vaccine coverage.
