Every page here is a true art! Congratulations on finishing the book and thank you for sharing. Now I can re-watch this video every time I need something uplifting and beautiful💕
You've got some beautiful work in this book. I love your attitude towards your art, whenever I start getting precious & critical with my work, watching one of your videos is a tonic, I become more inclined to experiment again!
I am so impressed by the quality and quantity of your colored pages. I tend to finish a page and frame it and hang it up till I'm tired of looking at it.
I'm flattered, thank you! And well, everyone is different, right?:) There's no right or wrong way to color and one can't color too little or too much etc etc, so you know, do your thing and keep doing what makes you happy:)
Amazing coloring - love all of your pages! With the recent re-release of this book, I am hoping to model mine after yours, with the limited color palette throughout. May I ask what is the color name of the blue pencil in the Kinderfest set that you like so much? Also, what brand of water-based markers did you use and what were your favorite colors to use in the polychromos?
Your attitude towards art is so refreshing, you are so very talented, so inspiring and make it look so easy, if you mess up, so what, just carry on! I loved every page ! ♥️♥️
Congrats on finishing this book, it looks wonderful! Any chance you could show the "war" technique (I think that's what you called it😉) you used on the pages with the dark shadows (like the candles/skull/mushrooms page & the facing page of the mermaid with lotus flowers)? Thanks so much for sharing your lovely achievement 🥰
Thank you! Yes, it's on my to-do list. It's just, well, since it is a quite challenging technique, I have to be in a certain mood for it and my wrist has to have had a pause from the last time I used it. So it will take a little while longer, I'm afraid, but I will get to it:)
Congrats with your finished book. 96 pages is impressive! Such a pitty that this book is out of print. I don't understand why a great sold book is out of print. ;-)
Yeah, I am so sorry to have to tell you that it's out of print. So unless you get your hands on an old copy somone is selling, it is, as of now, impossible to get"/
Hi, I love your art work very much. I do have a question. I notice in your books many double sided illustrations. When you use water based coloring techniques, like water based markers or inktense or watercolors, do you first prepare the page with gesso or something like gesso so there will be no bleed through to destroy the picture on the other side? Thank you for taking time to address this inquiry.
Thank you for your comment! I don't use gesso or anything like that, no. It has happened that I've gotten some bleed through every now and then, but I'm not one to be too distrought over that. I'm usuallt able to fix with just coloring the "damaged" page. I do use some tricks to minimize the risk like making sure not to go over an area too many times with markers and always have a napkin handy when I use water so I can dabb it off I get too much on the page. It's really personal if you think you'll be okay with some pages being a little messy and having a little bleed through every now and then or if it might be better for you to prime your pages with gesso or something similar. I, personally, am definitely more of the messy yolo type;)
Many thanks! I may try that bravery! You also made me chuckle with your " I'm not the fussy type" when I see your work it looks so professional! Thanks again!
I love every page! Your style is just gorgeous! I really enjoyed seeing your completed book! ❤
I saw your silent version but I prefer to hear how you coloured the pages as you do here.
As I said before, absolutely stunning finished book 💖
