@AMP1317 haha yea i feel ya. most the time i strum with my pointer finger. but i can strum pointer on the down, thumb on the up, or all three middle fingers down thumb on the up.... they are all just different sounds. there isnt really a "right" way to strum because different strums make diff sounds. but i suggest using ur pointer finger and thumb and find a happy median.
Can you do a tutorial of Nate Quinamague's Only You, or Auburn's Perfect Two? Either would be much appreciated. :D I love your videos too, they make playing the song so much easier.
when i hold all the stings down to strum after the slide it doesn't make the same noise as yours mine has a tone to it.. i don't know what i am doing wrong.. please help.. and after the slide how many up and down strums to you have to do before you go back to the e chord?
Can you explain how you do the strums in between each “down, up, hit”? It’s the same noise as when you strum muted strings after the C. It fills in the silence between the “hit” and the next chord.
+jane martin To be honest, learning strums is something you want to learn as a beginner but it really doesn't matter. You just have to learn to feel it. Sometimes I do different strums for songs because I sing them a little different. Just play a lot of ukulele, try new things and after a good year or maybe 2 you will just be able to distinguish the strum yourself :)
