One thing I want to see is a prequel to the original, where we have a more in-depth look into the origin of Vitruvius and the Master Builders, the creation of the Kragle and Piece of Resistance, Lord Business' rise to power, etc.

A thing that would be cool would be to give more screen time to the other OG lego movie side characters. Benny and Metalbeard have like 15 minutes of screen time in both of the movies and Unikitty like 20
Emmet Brickowski the construction worker needs MUCH more screen time in the Lego movies because he barely had any lol /jk
What about a story arc for Benny where he encounters Blacktron, considering that he's a tribute for Classic Space.

I’m kinda worried that some of the WB characters might be dropped seeing as now we’re working with Universal, specifically Batman. Hopefully they can keep him while also adding in some Universal studios characters.
Universal means there's a possibility for Gru since Illumination works with Universal

Universal has been buddies with WB, since they have the Theme Park rights to Harry Potter as well as co producing movies (including Central Intelligence) and I heard they WB/D might merge with NBC/Universal
I think something that could be very interesting set wise is something lego has never done before, combining lego system and duplo bricks in the same set.
I feel like that could make for some very wacky sets and it would be a nice chance to get those duplo bricks in colours we've never seen before.
It could also be used to make much larger sets with the duplo being used for internal support

I hope there is some reference to LEGO’s marketing shift from original themes centred around sparking imagination and creativity in kids to extremely expensive adult focused large display pieces.
I’m also hoping for some reference to the black box style they’ve gone with for bigger sets lately.

I was super obsessed with the First Lego Movie; For at least months, I think before even the first trailer, I had dozens of news and fan sites I checked daily for updates. Read the Brickipedia pages for every revealed character and regularly rechecked to see if more info was revealed. Seen promos and clips that have probably been forgotten and have ended up as borderline lost media now. Only slowed down and stopped to avoid spoilers.
SAME! Goodness me, what a time it was! I was getting more and more exited each day after fiding any official content I could find on internet. I still love these movies so much to this day. Both of them re-awakended my love for lego.
AlSO SAME! I remember finally being silent in a movie when I first watched it and it's been my favorite film ever for five years (which I watched Lego Batman and Lego Ninjago Movie, LOVED THEM) until it's sequel released and I remember trying to remember every word from the trailer and watched about the first 30 minutes at school before going home and immediatly watched the full movie on RUclips. It's STILL my favorite franchise, let's hope the third movie doesn't dissapoint us.
These movies are the reason I remain positive.

I kinda want characters like Benny, Unikitty, and Metal Beard to have more stuff to do. Like their scenes from the first movie, they were sorta pushed aside in the 2nd one. Let's get a B-plot with them, kinda like with Batman and Queen Whatever-I-wanna-be(however you spell her name)

These movies have always been here for me. I remember the first time I saw it and immediately knew it was my favorite movie. The night a few years later I saw Lego Batman I couldn't sleep from excitement. Then when I watched Lego Ninjago Movie I told my friends the whole movie at school the next day. And I remember when the sequel for TLM2 came out and tried to remember every word from the trailer. We then saw the first 30 minutes of the sequel in P.E in Elementary School and when I got home I immediately watched the rest. I also saw the Unikitty! series and i'm currently watching Lego Ninjago and fanmade Legofilms on RUclips. These movies are the reason i'm so positive and kind.
I'd really like a spin-off about Benny and the other space guys. Make it super dramatic and give it an in-universe explanation for how he got cracked.
That'll be AMAZING. Maybe we can also get a Unikitty Movie too!

I was thinking mostly about Emmett's childhood since they didn't reveal his backstory in the first movie. I think the third movie will explain Emmett's backstory in depth and how Emmett's mother really hated him for the way he is.

@@Flowermations I was planning, in the beginning of the movie, the gang share their backstories and Emmett had a chance to say his backstory of how he was abused by his mother and loved by his dad. One day, they decided to see Emmett's father. His mother was there, which made Emmett worried. Then what happens is his mother abuses him and Rex, (which returned from the second movie to be a hero) stands up for Emmett and told his mum that she shouldn't abuse her own son.

Like Lego Island, Lego Racers, Lego Bionicle, Lego Knights, Lefo Rock Raiders, Lego Adventures, Lego Agents, Lego Knights or the many space theme sets.
That and characters like Rocket Racer and the Brickster deserve their time on the big screen.
Bionicle is from the 00's, get it right.
@@soifon7000 Technically Bionicle started as a Lego Technic set which was before the 00's and all original toa mata had "Lego Technic" on the canisters instead since Bionicle was a spinoff at the time so I did get it right.
Although a more accurate choice would of been Lego Technic, however there wasn't much notable characters (as far as I'm aware) besides the technic guy minifigure that I doubt anyone knew and that 1 3d pc game. So I probably threw Bionicle in anyway to fill that spot.
Tbh I'm more concerned you didn't correct "lefo rock raiders" since that typing mistake is still in there ^^

Would be nice if Lego Movie 3 introduces non-traditional Lego themes, like Fabuland, Bionicle, Galidor, Knights Kingdoms 2, Hero Factory, Scala, Slizers, Wooden Duck, etc. Universal did do the 4th Bionicle movie, so they have experience doing Lego movies.
while that would be cool for us AFOLs, Lego would never do that coz capitalism: they wanna get the most money out of it, so they rather go for characters they can sell current sets with. so neverever would they bring back Fabuland, Galidor or Scala for this. sure, its possible maybe they would show up in a crowd scene, but they wont appear as characters with lines or even as main plot protagonists.
@@pi172 True. I just want to see those lines and their sets shown in the movie, sorta how Duplo got its representation in the second movie with the block characters and figures. Definitely better than just having them shown through image sliders.

I think something that could be really cool would be Bionicle appearing in the third movie. Maybe they belonged to the dad when he was a kid, and they're stored in the attic. With all that time alone, they could have already figured out how to move on their own like Emmet was learning how to.

It kinda sucks because I saw that there was concept art for the second movie where Rex had the Bionicle guys as his minions, but then at the last minute was changed to dinosaurs. We were this close 👌 to getting them.

I would love a more serious tone to the movie. I was almost 5 when the original came out and I loved it. One of my favorite movies from my childhood. But as I am now in my teenage years, I would like to see it a bit darker.

I really enjoyed the story that was given from both stories, It gave out the good kick for Lego films. with Lego movie being one of my favorites, I really aspired and liked seeing the way Emmet interacted with the world and some of the other characters too, I hope Chris Pratt can maybe come back to play the role as Emmet once more but.. sadly it may not happen but we can only wish! But I’ll still be happy with what we get for the Lego movie 3. I can’t wait for when it releases!
I honestly hope they even make a sequel for Ninjago or even better a LEGO TMNT movie! But for now, I'm really looking foward to the LEGO movie 3.

@@gone9820 The movie was bad anyway. Lloyd and Lord Garmadon were the only characters with any growth.
It would honestly be nice. Maybe Loyd can run away from how everyone treats him and while he's gone, maybe a Ninjago Tribe takes over the city, making the other ninjas go back to find Loyd and tell him how much he means to them. I don't know, that's my idea.

I remember hearing that they had planned to have a Bionicle character in the 2nd movie. Takanuva. but he wasn't going to be a cameo, he was going to be the counterbalance to Rex, since he is the Toa of Light. Rex trying to convince Emit to do bad things with Taka trying to keep Emit on the right path. shoulder angels. but they couldn't do a good enough script for him, so he was left out.
I would love to see Bionicles return in a future movie as characters. it'd be great nostalgia for fans.
I guess takanuva was sent by Lucy to found Emmet but he wasn't in the dryer system until he meets Rex he decided to join him until he found out he was Emmet but full of hatred

Do we know that any of the characters will be actually returning? I kind of get the vibe that Universal will be making their "own" Lego movie separate from the WB films and that it will be it's own thing not tied to the original 2 films.

lets goo I've been waiting for it for forever!!!
One thing I can say is that I hope one day they bring back the first LEGO movie sets somehow because those were probably some of the best ones to exist but they stopped producing them, they even stopped making the second lego movie sets, the only thing I could find like in Wal-Mart were the two videogames they made, and maybe we will get a videogame for the third movie as well, but who knows, it may be a while before we find out much.
The only detail I have concerns over is that I hope universal will bring Batman into the movie, because technically he’s still a Warner brothers character like a lot of the properties that appeared in the first two films, so I think some of the changes is that the master builders might be changed into universal studio properties and characters and some we might not see again because universal dose not have the rights for them

I loved the last 2 Lego movies so hearing a 3rd movie is in production I’m excited
I can't express how happy I am, I thought the third movie had actually been cancelled.
The Lego Movie is one of my favourite films, of all time (Including Lego Ninjago). Whereas expanding the films universe (Such as exploring unknown worlds - Like Portal (Dimensions level), and a Team Fortress 2 world (that would be interesting, to see).
But also what if Warner Bros makes a Mixels Movie
Well now that Universal owns the rights, maybe we’ll get references to Back to the Future, the Fast and Furious franchise, Minions, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a meta joke featuring Jurassic World and how Emmet and Owen Grady sound familiar.

To be honest there are some Unikitty characters that didn’t get to be Lego from the show there is Eaglator Master Doom and the rest of the doom lords and also the score creeper
I think that it would neat if in the 3rd movie there would be some sort of crossover between LEGO and the sets that Cobi (Poland) makes, although, the likelihood of this happening is extremely low.
On the other hand, it would also be cool if LEGO Marvel made an appearance.

In 2018, I was having a interest in The Lego Movie. Which i then for some reason predicted a 2nd one. Then I found a video of someone saying there is a second one! And I eventually randomly came across the trailer!!! And I was so excited to see it when Febuary came
I cant believe its a thing of the past now😢 and that there could be a 3rd one
Since now the multiverse is popular. It seems to me that part 3 will be associated with the multiverse. And for some reason it seems to me that this is the final part. It will be great if they show: Lloyd and his team of ninjas, robin, batgirl and Marvel characters. And that the main villain was cool.
No. No multiverse. I am going to be so upset if this movie has another multiverse.
One of the only ways I see the next movie going is into the world of Technic or Bionicle.
One thing people forget is that LEGO Movie 2 was released at the same time as Infinity War, so it was kinda drowned out unfortunately.

I expect to see Technic or Bionical in the 3rd part
I have high hopes for this one! My only real concern is that they will kill it with a bunch of political messages and whatnot. Really, so many films have stopped focusing on good story writing, replacing it with agendas that are often political. I just want to sit down and watch a great movie, being able to focus on its greatness... but hopefully we do get a great story.
