Thanks man, I’ve just recently started doing Karate again after a few years off and I’m nowhere near as flexible as I used to be, doing this daily will surely help.
Same situation here man. It’s hard to get back in the swing of things
Same here bro!! It’s not the same when your out of the sport for a couple of years
@@rubendelgado3381 ain’t that the truth, I used to do Shotokan karate but decided to try out Taekwondo with my son, I had my first lesson on a Wednesday and the next day I could hardly walk and was still sore until Sunday!
@@kevinmcgrath4032 keep at it man the soreness will go eventually, (i hope) :)
@@tgdb4968 Hey there, I did Shotokan and Kyokushin karate for 3 years when I was 17, now I'm 29 and started doing Kyokushin again 3 months ago. Have you been doing the stretches shown in the video? Can you tell us about your progress? I am pretty flexible but I want to improve until I can easily do the splits so I am looking for some great tutorials in this regard.
Your splits are beyond 180. Insane!
🙏🏻😊
@@RGMARTIALARTS hi is it possible to learn kyokushin without a dojo?
@@thanos3839 It's not possible to learn any martial art without going to a gym/dojo
@@thanos3839 just use them stones bruh...u don't need no kyokushin karate
@@thanos3839 While definitely possible. It will also be much harder with greater risk of failing
Wow!! I do kyokushin and these are the exact stretches we do! I didnt know it was for flexibility tho, nice video!
Cheers mate! Glad to hear it.
@Yaany Abdali and what martial art you do man?
Only Van Damme was negative in his video . rsrs
Ouch 😱 I have no idea that you could capable anything especially doing that bro
Haha. :))
day 2 of doing this, I found day 1 quite hard so we’ll see how this goes over time :)
How its going?
Anche io faccio gli stessi esercizi oss
I am keep doing this routine everyday, maybe around 50% as you do, but i’ll keep practicing.
Some difficult parts, i was doing and whispering: this guy is monster, this guy is monster.....😂😂😂. Hihi. I am sorry Sensei!
Btw, thank you so much for teaching online
it's basically yoga haha
Woh ! That split is insane ! Cool 😎
Wonder if i can ever do full splits... I've been trying it for decades.
Nice, very cool. Would be even better if you made every part last the real time, so that we could follow along the whole routine ;) Thanks a lot anyways!
Me is joint for karate class and brown belt
I managed to get about half way to that level but 50 years later I'm afraid I can only dream. Excellent stuff and look after those knee joints that's what got me. First class
Cheers mate. Yeah I completely understand. Much respect and keep doing what you can sir! 💪🏻🙏🏻
Oh. I have been sitting in front of my computer all day for the past few months and became really unflexible. When I recently started doing sports again I decided to do wheighted squats for whatever reason and I think I overstretched some ligaments in my knee joint. 🤦
@@_mrundercoverhd_ weighted squats are how you get strong. Nothing wrong with doing them, so long as you use good form.
could you do a flex routine to achieve high roundhouse kicks please!
hi from Mexico, awesome chanel!
This routine is before or after the training ?
I can’t speak for the presenter, but *after* is generally best practice.
There are no tangible benefits to stretching before exercise rather than after. In fact, it can be a bad decision for a couple reasons:
1. Static stretching without having warmed up enough can cause muscle tears. A quick warm up is not enough for this level of stretch.
2. Stretching before exercise can decrease performance.
3. Static stretching before something like karate may be dangerous, as it can allow you to overextend in a kick.
This all said, a dynamic stretching routine might be fine as part of a warm up, but this static one would be only advisable after your training session. It also serves as a cool-down period as an added benefit.
Laaa e laaha ill lal law ( there's no God but the God) blessing for you much love from Muslim Khmer Surin
Can't wait to start today! Thanks for the routine.
I practice Shorin Ryu, but i'll try this anyway
Osu... New subscriber to your channel and very impressed with your videos...but I don't know how to follow your kyukoshin videos... Like how much times I should practice each of your kyukoshin videos before progressing to the next... Thanks and wishing you all the best
OSU! Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it. Would you mind sending me a message on Instagram @roland_gloekler? I tried replying to your question on here 4 times already but it would not let me send because the message was too long. Regards, Roland.
Ayo bro slow down I can't keep up 😭
😂😂😂
Good masrter kiukusinkai halp me to find a woman.thunk.s god bless
I am 14 years old and do Kyokusin Karate there is stretching
Hello Senpai Roland ive been doing shotokan and( Im a blue belt) i would like to switch kyokushin... Do you think its best to start of at white belt or not?
OSU my friend. I would definitely recommend you to start off with white belt whenever you step into a new discipline. I know it can be challenging sometimes and maybe even demotivating but it will definitely help you keep the learning mentality you need to become the best you can possibly be. I wish you all the best in your transition and may you be successful! OSU! Take care.
Nice and flexible, Good luck!!
Absolutely amazing
Thank you sir!
Thanks a lot Sensei osu!
Great video. I have a question! Can you do karate with bowed legs?
I would think so, would need a little more detail on that please :)
@@RGMARTIALARTS alright, so.
I’m born with bowed legs. It doesn’t bother me only when i workout or run, my knees hurt so bad. Also I can’t kick.
Your videos are really inspirational. Just wanted to know at video 5:00 at that stretch my left knee hurt like when I am relax now I have some feeling in left knee only but no issue with my right knee. Any informational guide or tip for that pain or so called weired sensation only in left knee
OSU! Thank you for this
Awesome explanation! Thank you for sharing the details. Osu!

Great video and great explanation 👌 Just what I need 👍👌
Thank you very much. Your support is appreciated 🙏🏻☺️
What do you think about leg stretching machines, the kind with a crank wheel? I feel like they'd help people who are very inflexible, like me.
💗💗
How many days , in order to achieve full stretch
Just Ameeezing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
If doing this on a regular how long will it takes before i see results
3-4 months my friend
Big Osu
OSU!
How many weeks or months can I be like you?
Is it daily training?
I don't understand what you say, because I'm from Brazil, but if I write I understand.
thank you!
Brother. Sorry for the late reply. I recommend for you to do these stretches everyday. At least once a day. If you push yourself everyday it should take 4-5 months
@@RGMARTIALARTS thank's !
@@DELEGADONOGUEIRA so how it goes mate
@@DELEGADONOGUEIRA Eu sou meio brasileiro
Please guide me when I can reach at that full split which you did at video 5:55 .
Can i do it with no warm-up?
If you want to hurt yourself and be out of training for ages, maybe even end up in hospital, then yeah, go for it. A guy at our dojo ended up in hospital and is in a wheelchair for the foreseeable future because he didnt want to warm up. If you really must be lazy, whether you just dont want to warm up or you dont have the extra time, it only takes a few mins to do something simple, a few burpees, or even just some star jumps to get the blood flowing, then some light range of motion strecthes to get the muscles ready. Probably take you two miniutes. Even if its not a full warmup, its better than trying to stretch cold muscle.
this hip rotation is a dynamic stretch,to warm the muscles and give them blood and nutrients
Absolutely! You said it. 💪🏻
If you are talking about standing up while rotating your hips in a circular motion one direction then the other, it's actually to flex your spine helping to keep it in alignment. This is why it could help relieve the pain of stretching.
Nice training sensei oss
OSU! Thank you for your support!
Osu! New subscriber here. Thank you for the video really helpful. I am still tryin to be fleksibel. Maybe next video, giive us some advice to do handstand, my progress is still handstand with wall and just hold it maybe 1 minute for few set. Thank you
OSU! Mr. Diovani. Thank you for watching the video. I wish you best of luck with that and I hope that you are able to try these stretches everyday because it really helped me. I am glad you mentioned the handstand because I am going to bring out a video on that next week. Thank you again, take care and feel free to write to me for any further questions or requests anytime.
Um espetáculo de abertura 👏
Do your best of ability!! If a split is like a 180 degrees I’m at 90 degrees 😂😂😂
How long can we do that?
tQ for sharing.
Thank you for the support ☺️🙏🏻
Awesome. And Thank you.
Thank you!! ☺️🙏🏻
Woundeful and powerful technique 🥋👊🏻💪🏻
OSU! Thank you very much!
Great video
Thank you very much! 🙏🏻💪🏻
Nice stretching routine but these won't work for anybody over age 50. Most younger coaches do not understand this. Bodies change as they age.
I'm 60 years old and these stretches do indeed still work for older people. I first took Taekwondo at age 25 and due to military commitments I had to stop. A couple months after turning age 60 I started up again. I've only been doing these stretches for a couple of weeks and the improvement is really something. I still have a long way to go but my kicks are easier to do and are higher.
@@james777ko2 Sure, stretching in some form improves flexibility at all ages. Not everybody is built the same. If you can do these stretches at 60, count yourself lucky. Out of several hundred karate black belts I know, a large percentage get hip or knee problems as they age. Hip and knee replacements are common. I trained for a while with Hideo Ochi (9th dan) who was phenomenally flexible in his 60's (he's 80 now and still flexible.) But he is one of these rare exceptions. There are definitely genetic variables in flexibility and skeletal construction. Also, possibly Ochi's ability to be so flexible owes in part to him stretching every day, never missing a day, for 90 solid minutes.
Osu, sempai!

How Many Mins To Do These Each Stretch?
Increase time day by day
Thanks Sir😉
