Sorry, Tom. The Conservatives have won the election. Carney doesn't have a seat in parliament and there isn't enough time to turn this around. I voted for Trudeau in 2015 but not the last two elections and I will not vote for him or for anyone from his cabinet should they become leader.

Don't get too upset. The allotment set aside in Calgary for the leased land program is .9 of an acre to build 99 units. Not even a full acre of land . It would be funny except it's not. The hilarious part is that the tiny parcel of land is situated in a upscale neighborhood with many homes in the $2 million range. It's also located between 2 private schools. Can't wait to see how that works out.
I haven't seen any new subdivisions or apartments going up in years, and I'm 90 kilometers from Toronto.

The housing market is stubborn but it could break down at any moment . As we speak, more and more developers are struggling to sell their homes as they used to. In addition, any change in immigration policy would immediately change the rental market. On other side, a home owner or someone depends on rent to pay his mortgage could have different opinion about current situation
