  • In this era of “reconciliation”, Indigenous land is still being taken at gunpoint. INVASION is a new film about the Unist’ot’en Camp, Gidimt’en checkpoint and the larger Wet'suwet'en Nation standing up to the Canadian government and corporations who continue colonial violence against Indigenous people.
*Full Length Film coming in 2020*
The Unist'ot'en Camp has been a beacon of resistance for nearly 10 years. It is a healing space for Indigenous people and settlers alike, and an active example of decolonization. The violence, environmental destruction, and disregard for human rights following TC Energy (formerly TransCanada) / Coastal GasLink’s interim injunction has been devastating to bear, but this fight is far from over.

      -Tax free gas
      -Tax free stores
-Rights to fish with no limits to how much
-less jail time than a Canadian citizen for same crime. Sometimes no jail time.
-free college thanks to TAX PAYERS.
      List goes on. Idiot.
Fyi its only 15 percent that don't want the pipeline. Also there is couple hereditary chiefs on the elect board too that signed up for the pipeline with the 85 percent of aboriginals that's on board too ( who also will have high paying jobs). Idiot

Unfortunately you have been misinformed. First nation’s trust subsidize the entire infrastructure of Canada. But all the first nations in Canada only receive less than 8% of their own monies since government still has control of the trust. Government sold and privatized most of the crown corporations like CN railway of which first nations payed for and have never received a dime in exchange. All Canada would be bankrupt if it weren’t for the first nations trust. You have been lied to. Government wants you to be in the dark and wants you to hate, it keeps them in power. Why not partnership instead of turning against each other. Everyone’s afraid we will take something away. We want clean air, water and we also want in on the prosperity, just like you. Together we could achieve just that.

@@shaunfisher3825 Next time, avoid calling someone an idiot while using the wrong "you're", kind of makes you look like the idiot in the situation. Also, if you are referring to Indian status, not all Indigenous people have access to that, therefore not all Indigenous people have access to those things you listed. Metis and Inuit people do not have access to status, as the government doesn't refer to them as "Indian" in the Indian act. Secondly, your taxpayer money doesn't go towards those who have Indian status. Lastly, the right to fish is within their treaty rights, might want to search up what a treaty right is. I am so very deeply sorry and grateful for your journeys from trauma/drama to taking back your power and standing up for what is rightfully yours. I lost my house in foreclosure in 2011 in Halfmoon Bay, Salish Territory on the Sunshine Coast. In my own ignorance, I contracted a mort-gage (debt based death deed) with the banksters and suffered a lot as I lost my entire life savings ...and gained my freedom from the system that had enslaved me. I asked the judge in court to show me the original bill of sale of the property .. the lawyer replied.. it is out of our jurisdiction. I said .. then you have no right to reclaim stolen land. At the time, I could not find anyone or any organization, who understood the TRUTH and the law, aka policies... to help me to give it rightfully back to the peoples .Banksters, realtors, lawyers .. got their share. The realtor said he would never again represent a foreclosure for the bank after I went through the fire. That was one good thing that came out of it. I left Canada for 6 months to heal and recover... as it was a 2 year process with a no-win happy ending.
We are all here to STEWARD the land.. to Steward the earth. We are all suffering, as other cultures have come in with even more money and most of us can not afford the high rents to LANDlords.. LORD OF THE LAND or want to play their game anymore, which I was ignorant too.. Please forgive me, for I did not know any better.... We are all oppressed by capitalism, materialism and consumerism ..and every other 'ism' for that matter. The land holds the trauma, as do the people, as Mama Gaia is a living breathing entity and she's been raped, pilfered and stolen from.. I know how that feels, as my birthright was stolen from me .. and you! Check your birth certificate and see who owns you! We all need to stand in solidarity as sovereign beings. AHO .. All my relations.

You go ahead save the land save what culture is left, and present healing, that's the best you can do. I'm grateful for what you've taught all of us. Thank you for teaching the world how to be strong and not wrong, you've done nothing wrong, and being offered nothing is pretty much nothing. You don't' deserve guns pointed at you or your guests that stay with you on your territories. My Dad was a former owner of a gas station, and he'd be appalled at the way Chevron and other companies have treated people, but its not really surprising due to they would jeopardize and remove jobs from their own people. They eliminated gas service pump service, and made people " think" oh, get your own gas " when its their gas" even still, and oh "wash your own windows on your cars" pay next to nothing for service workers, and people are removable and replaceable. This is not the world our children should inherit. Our children deserve better than this. Chevron and other companies should be ashamed at the way they have handled this. Horrible way to treat a homeowner. I stand with you in whatever way you call me to do. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.

It’s an honorable and courageous undertaking for the people to stand against corporate controlled RCMP, particularly when unsanctioned RCMP signed a contract to protect the pipe lines at all cost. RCMP performing duties as paid local militia had been given the green light to shoot to kill weeks before they even arrived on the territories, they came methodically prepared with military weaponry, with lethal intent and fortified for a race war against first nations. But under the circumstances I believe they don’t have an option to ignore systematic Racism any longer. In this circumstance alone, the evidence is overwhelming not only did they express a total disregard for the lives of human beings they perceive as inferior Race. They created militarily armed racial exclusion Zones as a direct threat against peaceful land owners to prevent them from entering their own property. Then with the intimidation of further imprisonment while ignoring the higher courts rulings on land title. They coerced people to sign agreements under duress. If this was any non-minority they would have dealt with the process of land designations in lawfully and nonviolent way. Land ownership shouldn’t be treated differently based on skin pigment.this is a threat death to all first nations who dont agree with them.

@@amania9254 That's all backwards lies. First of all, "democratic socialism" is when socialist dictators get elected instead of taking power by force. Look at Venezuela where people are starving and being killed by the government. That's Democratic Socialism. That's Socialism.
Second, in Capitalism, which again is really just freedom, everyone has the same opportunity to become rich. All you need to do is succeed. Sure, some get richer than others, but that's natural and expected. We aren't equal, and imposing equality makes us all slaves to the lowest common denominator.
When you say the rich make rules in the US, UK, France, well, you're not wrong, but they use SOCIALISM to justify those laws and make us all less free and make our economy more regulated so that they can control it and have less competition. See how it works? It's Socialism! In Socialism, the elites don't just have ALL the wealth, they also make all the laws, so they have rules for all of us and no rules for themselves. Again, look at any Socialist country. USSR, China, doesn't matter. The Party elites run the country and everyone else is their slaves. We need LESS Socialism and MORE freedom.
Socialists love accusing Capitalism of all the atrocities committed by Socialism, which is really just totalitarian dictatorship.

Like u said, it's nearly 8 billion people, they are not building affordable housing and services for their people, they are putting a pipeline, is it not more beneficial for a greater number of people, as well as the planet, to not destroy more of the land, just to have oil spills like it happened with the Dakota access pipeline causing immense ecological damage.
