Excellent - great to hear some of the good old school blues. In my younger days, before I even knew I liked the blues, Bloomfield was an artist I gravitated towards. It took me quite some time to figure out who I wanted to listen to and why. I can go back now and identify everything that appealed to me and make a connect to everything I am interested in playing now. Thanks for this blast from the past kind of playing.
Good one Corey! This one would most likely fit an old tune I am starting titled "Bullfrog Blues" by Rory Gallagher. If you do any other courses on forgotten players Rory should fit the bill.
This lesson made my day so much better. So grateful to you for sharing it. I'm sure its not easy coming up with content all the time but just know that what you do has a huge impact on those of us who are sitting out here. Been completely absorbed with this lesson and literally dissecting it all day. thank you..
Michael Bloomfield wrote an article in high times magazine called Me and Big Joe, soulfully illustrated by R. Crumb. It’s available via Google and describes Mike traveling with Big Joe Turner. A wonderful view into days gone by.
Fantastic , glad I bought the course. Was there for the zoom too but only ,last ten minutes had with download on zoom. Believe I got it solved thanks Corey
chicago style brother! Reminds me of so many guys I used to see in the late 70s growing up in Chicago with our fake IDs! sneaking into Kingston mines on lincoln ave before it was a tourist trap to see muddy Waters and like three other acts-those licks are just dripping Chicago electric blues!
Corey is by far the best teacher for my learning style n RUclips. I haven’t committed to a course yet, but I think it’s about time. Corey, that little rhythm at 16:25 have some great groove, what is going on there? Video idea?
OK ✅. Mike Bloomfield is the greatest guitar 🎸 player ever. I know Jimi is on another planet 🪐 but Michael was the best blues player. He lived and breathed music 🎶 and referred to himself as a Blues Man. He didn’t care about money because he got $75k/year in the 70s from a trust fund 💰. He gave us so much in a short time. Thanks for your great video. 👍☮️🌞🎸❤️
Great video Corey. The great blues players from the 60s are fun to learn from. I was wondering do you know how Bloomfield got the tone/sound he used on East-West, it's different and sounds really good. Thanks for your lessons
LOVED this lesson, so Googled "Walkin' Blues" but couldn't find this solo. It turns out to be on "Walking By Myself" live. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/Ofevd9S2-2E/видео.html

FINALLY !!!!! He was more than great. Not sure why he doesn't get the same KUDOS as Clapton, King(s) etc
According to Mr. Gruhn, Mike Bloomfield started the vintage guitar craze, thanks Mike!
Mike Bloomfield is one of my favorite guitarists of all time, along with Peter Green, Jeff Beck, and Paul Kossoff. Highly underrated.
'Mike Bloomfield is one of my favorite guitarists of all time, along with' Duane Allman, SRV, and Albert King.

Hello Corey…Thanks for this too rare look at Mike Bloomfield! 🎶🎸
Great lesson and playing love the Tab
Saw Mike 6 times with the Butterfield blues band in Chicago!
I saw Mike Bloomfield with The Paul Butterfield Blues Band in about 1969 when they toured England, that was a great all round band.
My favorite Bloomfield work is in Gotta Mind To Give Up Living. Have mercy!

Not sure of that but, most of those guys just cranked the amp back then!
Ok thanks Corey. The East-West instrumental he did with Paul Butterfield and Elvin Bishop is unique, sounds sort of like Asian music.
