fuck it. Guess I'll listen to this again. Wish there were more podcasts with these two geniuses.
Matt and Trey are 2 of the most I respect in the world, the comedy they create and the overall genius is unmatched.
Matt describes recognizing internet humor as such a bizarre experience because he helped create it.
Yea damn. Hearing them vocalize how they are no different from trolls but they are funny. So that’s what makes them better than trolls. Is sad but they the goats. It does make me a little sad
46:14 I don't really like to be the nostalgic type, but I actually really like the first few seasons. The lack of structure and more random humor appeals to me a lot. Take that episode from the first season where all the kids are trapped in the bus with the monster, and they're all telling different versions of the same story. I love that episode - I still say "Now that's what I call a sticky situation!" all the time - and you just wouldn't get that with new South Park. I like the newer stuff too, but I would love to see a lot more of that old style South Park peppered into newer seasons. I guess it won't happen though, since they said they prefer the new way of things, but that's okay too.
Season 2 was the best season
Terrance & Philip in Not Without My Anus is their best ep. Pip is up there too. I'm bummed we'll never get episodes like those again.
It’s funny because the creators say they hate the old episodes
I just feel like they would be better off doing something else.
@@I_AM_BAYTOR Pip was a damn good episode. Pisses me off when people hate on that one
I felt really freaked out when at 57:40 he started talking about how the new generation can do multiple things at the same time. I am 24 and it's true for me this is normal. I don't think it's difficult however, I listen to this podcast I play a game I have 7 other tabs open music chess I think everyone can do this it's just about what place in your mind you are. It's really interresting however to hear them talk about this. Defenitly I do not think only the 'new generation' can do this, I could teach anyone this in 1 moment.
I am 42 and I can smoke a cigarette while taking a shit. Want me to teach you?
@@indoorgangster you gotta smoke inbetween the pushes
This is 6 years old and they're talking writer's strike. Incredible.
lol I'm literally editing and listening to this
Matt and Trey aka Kyle and Stan, are the best.

Thank you
Muchas gracias
ChatGPT brought me here while i asked it about why Trey and Matt never hosted SNL. Wow
45:50 SIMPSONS DID IT!
I like how South Park keeps it fresh by adapting. They knew they couldn't go on forever with stories about what 3rd graders go through every day, so they adapted. Now they do shows on current events. To me, that's how the show has kept from going stale all these years
yeah now they're in the 4th grade
58:00 - I grew up flying all over the world - we had actual travel games, Walkmans (Walkmen?), and would make friends with any other kids on the flight. Puzzle books, too, like crosswords, or writing (I would journal).
you know what i mean?
@TheBillSimmonsPodcastNBA you should try to get Matt and Trey on the podcast before the 300th episode.
legit bill sounds like a younger trey
Crab people. Never forget
I think around season 10 is where I thought pretty much every episode was just great, to a higher degree than at any other point... However up until at least season 19 there seemed to be something like one or two episodes per season that was (at least) as good as anything they'd ever done...
When it started serializing was when I really started to tune out... That said I feel the latest season is probably the best one since 19.
Dude the friggin promotions mid stream. You're talking to the creators of Southpark!!!!!!
Kind of lame interview. I blame Bill. Bad questions. It's like he wasn't all that familiar with all their work. Very generic. Too bad because he had two of the greatest guests for over an hour.
Super boring
Bill trey and Matt are good friends. Yur just a dick Scott. You’ve always been....... a dick.
Im with Simmons, only thing I've ever been offended by from south park was the Tom Brady stuff lmfao
@Respect/Walk I'm going to go with that was a 10% serious 90% joke and asking why kind of kills the vibe it had
to explain further, because patriots fans are the craziest loyal fans. Thats why I won't give it a 100% joke
I almost quit listening, after 5 mins of not hearing Trey at all, i figured it was just Matt!

Big up the legends T Parker and MStone, too much shitty movies are created that are just distractions and wastes of space and time. All the ideas have been done. lets just give the film making a rest for a time, Eh??
or atleast get new writers to do new ideas or experiment with story telling
