Same here, my absolute favorite album from em. They're all good, but that one was a mix of their old and new styles, and in my opinion it's just perfect.
The black metal vibe is almost entirely lost, and that satanic black metal feel is what makes the original version and early Bathory in general so special. Still a good a cover tho.
have been many covers of this great art but honestly this cover I found very empty without prefer emotionless energy of Zemial, Tsjuder, Toxic Holocaust, nocturnal and Ravencult are magnificent! but this version does not have that feeling that you should give a big issue as sacrifice! so these bands hail just named held high the flame of metal!
