i have also been in my reading era again and it feels so good!! reading is so mind stimulating and i love hearing you talk about all the books you love
OH MY GOSH AVA I NEEDED THIS. I missed these videos so much I could cry happy tears. you explain things so well and now I have 10 books added to my tbr. PLEASE CONTINUE TO MAKE THESE VIDEOS!! I think a book you’d enjoy is “if he had been with me” by laura nowlin. it’s a soul crusher but so good. it’s a must read! thank you for this video 📚🤍✨
oooh ok omg I just started it yesterday now im so excited to see what happens! I wasn't sure if id like it since we're not supposed to like her in Malibu rising but now I can't waittt 🎾
I got to the end of this video and realized that I've read all of these books! 😱 BUT i absolutely LOVE listening to people try an explain the plot of books that i've already read. 👌💖
the last time i watched one of your book recommendations (i think nearly 2 years ago), i rarely picked up a book, now i‘m an active reader and i remember how your videos were one of the first „booktube“-videos i ever watched & which motivated me enough to pick up a book in a while :) happy reading!
The Inkheart series by Cornelia funke. A great read full of adventure. A book about a book. Written for young adults to adults who just want a cozy book for the fall times. 📖
i recently read Happy Place and also Love & Other Words and i am OB-SESS-ED with them both. i gifted someone The Housemaid to someone recently because of your recommendation and she loved it so much. i love this video so much omg omg!!
hey ava! the books you chose all sound amazing🤍🤍, i‘d love to recommend you the inheritance games series by jennifer lynn barnes, it‘s literally one of my favorite book series ever (and i‘ve read a lot of books☺️)! it‘s sort of a mystery book with a bunch of different plots happening at the same time (also: love triangles and really cute romance!). it‘s really unpredictable and you just can‘t (or at least won‘t want to) put it down, i read each of the books in one sitting, also the writing is soo good. i love your channel and i‘d love for you to make book videos more often, you always have THE BEST recommendations🤍
Always enjoy your book reviews and recs. Here are some you may want to put on your TBR list: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo(loved it), The Lost Apothecary, Beyond that, the Sea, The Keeper of Lost Things & The Wisdom of Sally Red Shoes(same author), A Fall of Marigolds(My fave book ever!), The Midnight Library, Anything by Elin Hilderbrand(great summer reads). Enjoy!
📚Reading has always made me uncomfortably sleepy, I don't know what it is. I've only gotten through two books in my life and have thrown in the towel. One was "My Side if the Mountain" and the other was "Eragon". Maybe someday I will be able to get past the reading sleepies!📚
I love all of your videos and you make me want to read so much more, but I just wish you wouldn’t give as many details because I feel like it ruins the books! Hope you have a wonderful day and I cannot wait to watch your next book video! ❤️❤️❤️
Ahh totally understandable! I tried to only reiterate what the backs of the books said but maybe the extra details were too much, been far too long since I recorded a video like this! I'll keep that in mind next time :)
One of my most FAVORITE recent reads is If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio. It might be my favorite book ever, it was just so brilliantly written and is so greatly balanced in terms of genre and emotion
MISS GIRLLLLLLL I listened to you and read Too Late this summer and oh my lord what the hell. First of all such an amazing book love that it switches from one character to another for each chapter. Secondly, how the hell does one think of this plot it was just so good and so well written. Thirdly, I agree there were multiple moments where I had to put the book down because of Sloan and because of Asa it was just getting too tense and I needed to think of how to escape the situation. I can’t wait to read the rest of the mystery/suspense book recommendations!!! Love you lots🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾
The housemaid was actually sooo good. Definitely did NOT expect the plot twists. I recommend for anyone who’s in a reading slump cause its a pretty fast paced book and I finished it literally in two days
Your summaries of Frieda McFadden’s books makes me immediately want to pick them all up!! If you are looking for more psychological, mind warping thrillers, I highly recommend Gillian Flynn (esp. Dark Places) and Jennifer Hillier (esp. Jar of Hearts). I’ve read a couple books by both authors and they’re so insane and easily binge-able !
We love being in our reading era again!! You NEED to read Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, it had me captivated. I read it twice in a row, it was that good!!
So glad you’re back into books!! I love your content 🤍 if you’re looking for another good mystery, give Alice Feeney a try! She is the queen of twist endings. Her books “Daisy Darker” and “Rock Paper Scissors” are my favs! 📚
Have you read Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough? It’s a psychological thriller vibe and it is SO EFFING GOOD and blew my mind at the end. Would recommend if you have not read it yet!!
I have read The Housemaid but haven’t read the sequel yet. I am in a mini book slump after reading a 5 star read (The Cheat Sheet). Nothing I start reading has me hooked right now. Your video has me wanting to try The Housemaids Secret to get out of this slump. Thanks for the reccs. I have missed your reviews and I am so happy to see a new one.
Jesus Christ is LORD. He’s such a good person too, as He died on the cross for our sins so we could have eternal life even though we don’t serve it and even if we hate Him, but if you believe and turn away from sin, then you get that eternal gift for free.
Okay so most writer's in their particular genre do research on the topic they're writing or like their characters occupation ( case in point, laurel k. Hamilton talking to or meeting with federal marshal's because anita blake the main character is one ). they don't just suddenly KNOW the subject they're writing about. they'll always reach out to professionals or have their team lookup articles, whichever. Or sometimes it could be based off of personal experiences - not their own but someone they knew.
I can tell that I have the same taste in books because I've literally already read and loved all but 1 of the books 🤣 I will give A Thousand Boy Kisses a go because that's the only one that I haven't yet! Bet I'll love it 😁📖
read "Bonjour Tristesse" by Francoise Sagan!!! it's a French novel (has been translated to English) written in the 50s and its only 130 pages so a super quick read. it's nothing too crazy but the story and characters are really interesting and it's beautifully written 🥰
Some thriller/mystery book recs for you! :) - None of this is true by lisa jewell (intriguing and there's a podcast within the story) - What lies in the woods by kate alice marshall (scary, mysterious) - A good girls guide to murder by holly jackson (YA but worth the read, so many twists and turns) - Finlay Donavan is killing it by elle cosimano (super funny and so much going on, entertaining) - All the dangerous things by stacy Willingham (scary, don't read at night lol) - In my dreams I hold a knife by ashley instead (who was it? kind of story) - the last housewife by ashley instead (insane)
📚 Love those book vidoes !! I don't know if her books are translated into English but Melissa Dacosta is an extraordinary author! I recommend ! Kisses from France 😘📖
I think you’d really like spring, summer, autumn, us by Fiona collins. It’s definitely a romance but it’s really mature. It follows a young woman throughout her lifetime and captures her interactions with a particular man who she catches feelings for. Def look into it
I love your book reviews ❤ you always put so much work into your videos 🥰🤗 PS: You need to read "The housemate by C.L. Pattison", it's one of my favourite books after verity and the Freida Mcfadden series. It's unbelievably good and such brilliant plot twist
I’ve been in a terrible reading slump since almost a year. I literally don’t know what to do anymore:( Can someone please recommend any type of thing I can do to start reading again I’m desperate at this point…
