How I knew that my person was the one: I realized I got to be my true authentic self around him, I could be completely honest, and my relationship with him has helped my mental health. My best friend and the first person I want to share things with and spend time with.

My trans gf (MtF) said that she thinks about the Roman empire so consistently because she was a Percy Jackson girly. This led her down a Roman empire rabbit hole in middle school and she stayed in it.
In the same vein my Roman Empire at the moment is Gone Girl. It 100% confirmed why I could never be in a long-term straight relationship with a straight, white man like that.

When Deison said “I thought there was something wrong with me” I’ve never resonated more with someone. Growing up in a Latino household, I was brought up catering towards men. I never felt worthy enough and even felt selfish after celebrating my accomplishments. For years I was hushed when I should’ve been praised. No one really prepares you on how to navigate through life and especially when you have a baggage full of generational trauma. I’m so happy that both Deison and Drew are creating a space for not only POC’s but WOMEN of COLOR. Sitting here in my living room I’m reminiscing on the time I could never find love and never could find true friendships. 2023 me is loved, appreciated, confused yet happy. I’m learning to applaud myself for my accomplishments and now I applaud you. I applaud you for helping us colored women and giving us a space where we feel safe, heard, and appreciated. I’m so grateful you guys are here and I can’t wait to see what this life has to offer for you both. LOVE AND KISSES FROM KAT🫶🏽💕

It is completely valid to feel that it is a violation when people invade your privacy all the time. It’s not a “little” problem either. People who are famous still deserve to have a private life, deserve to feel safe, deserve to not be “on” all the time. It is unacceptable that the price you pay to be an entertainer is your life. Being in the public sphere, yes, will come with a certain lack of privacy because you are sharing part of your life and self with a shit ton of people, but what is shared should be on your terms not the public’s. I think people hear lack of privacy and think that it is up to the public to set the boundaries and that if you share a little, you must share everything. But that’s insane. The amount of privacy or lack there of should always be set up by the person sharing. And everyone in the public needs to learn to respect boundaries that are set. If the person hasn’t shared it, then it’s none of your business. The public doesn’t own celebrities. They are not objects to do our bidding. They are people. If you wouldn’t do it to a regular person, don’t do it to a celebrity. (Some of you might need to check how you treat regular people too ;))

54:49 Personally, I knew my husband was the one the first time I got sick after we started dating. He basically spent the whole time making sure I was comfortable, he set timers for medicine dosages, and got me all the foods I was wanting. I just remember looking at him and realizing he was someone who could see me at my weakest or most vulnerable, and would honor that and support me until I could be strong again. As an eldest daughter I think it was one of the first times in my life I felt like I didn’t have to be in charge of everything, I could focus on resting without everything falling apart. He’s truly the best person and my best friend 🥰

I do laser hair removal and depending on how much you’re doing it doesn’t take long. I do Brazilian and underarms and it takes 15 minutes and makes my life easier lol
