That interpretation gives this often played, but beautiful piece a complete new touch. In parts a was very surprised, in a positiv way, for example when the reed stops came in in around the middle of the piece. But the last third of the piece just left me speachless.
@@jankla4419 It could be possible he coupled the manual from the vox humana down to the pedal or it was a string stop for example a "cello" the string stops sometimes can also sound like a reed stop.

Not many empty seats. A few on the balcony. But on the main floor, it appears there was Standing Room Only. If I had been any near, I would have attended.
I can’t imagine what it must be like to have such an amazing gift, to be touched by the hand of God, and yet he shares it with us. Truly divine.❤
The organ is the king of instruments for good reason. Coupled with a talent like Mr. Varnus it’s a treasure for any listener. Very beautifully played.

There was only one little reed stop he used, and i think it was the "Vox Humana". It really mached perfect this extremly emotional and lovely piece.
