It has become one of my favourite plugins for finding a sweet spot on certain tracks. It does a lot of what IZotope Vinyl does, but much more faithfully emulates an old am radio or tape tone. I would like to be able to load my own vocal samples though, as the included ones are cool but with very limited kinds of musical contexts I would ever want to use them other than throwing the “Hainbach Maneuver” in periodically for effect. These guys gotta go iOS. iPad Musician has 15,000 plus members internationally and would absolutely eat the AudioThings up for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and midnight snacks. Curious that they have not yet made the move.
This is the tape-emulation-genre type plugin that finally satiated my desire for not-subtle degradation. It's truly incredible, and it responds very well to automation in a mix. It's so good!
( edited this due to misunderstanding on my side!!) Nah, it perfectly shows what the plugin does and how it works. And considering the stats on likes, and who actually decided to buy the plugin after this video, it's spot on.
I can't get mine to record or actually add to any sound ... unless I have the "playback on" on it makes no sound, even when I have a note on a live midi track, or an instrument. I am sure it is user error, but if anyone has a tutorial for this as far as using it in Live and making it either an audio track or a midi track ... I would appreciate it.
@@audiotoolshed I know, My wording was poorly chosen. I fell down 8 step and hit everyone with my head and then a concrete floor a few weeks back and I have had a lingering brain issue... brain damage is real. I couldn't get it to add to anything, but I watched Hainbach's video and figured out where I was going wrong. Now I can add it to instruments and midi tracks. It was only playing if I had it running. I had to use the envelope and add it to a midi track with instrument on it. Now I have it.
@@audiotoolshed ooops sorry. It was late. But, earlier for some reason it was taking me to another product called ECHOcat or something. LOL I could have just been exhausted & clicked wrong link

I tried this thing out and within 2 minutes I bought it. It makes your pianos sound haunted and melancholic. Its one of my fav plugins.
You got that spot on. its a great little plugin box full of vibe.
Love that you had similar fun with the tape stop/start switch 😄
;-) I hope you had fun of the image I abused of you hehe. Soll mahl nach Berlin kommen und reinhören wie das original klingt ;-)

Good suggestion for iOS! Wonder if they will do it, it takes funding and a lot of time to properly implement.

Great way to go thru the features
Thanks!!!

This guy says thank you!
These units didn’t any tubes in real life. All solid state and that’s just a neon bulb
Bro consider using audio material upon which people might actually want to use the plugin!

It's a delay effect. Not an instrument.
