This is so Nice, too see howe it was so many years ago . A beafutiful fordson majoor, so Nice. The farmer is working hard every day,but he can do it. The claase combine is very Nice. This film is beautyfull, thank you so much ,i love it. Back in these years.
Interesting to see the size of the tractors; I remember a Ford 5000 around that time as being a big machine. Out here on the Lincolnshire fens all the tractors seem huge now, is there a "yard tractor" today? We had an old Ford 2000 (probably wasn't so old) that was used for all manner of jobs - it would sit on the bonnet of the big JDs I see.
This was still in the day when farm subsidies were available, even as far as land drainage etc, at the the end of day, fair days pay for a fair day’s work with not having to worry too much about the future unlike today!
Ah! the days of the Agricultural Wages Board. I was a hortic. apprentice in 74/75 and I seem to remember sometime around then the NUAAW's 'square deal' campaign of £100 for 40 hours work. Needless to say we never got it.
There are 4 video's of the farm through the seasons, plus 1 called The Harvest. All on youtube. It was filmed on 8mm, which is far more expensive than video tape. Therefore the footage is limited.🥩
Brilliant video bring back the old way we still farm old way and plenty of time to do the job no ripping around
Thanks for your comment, it's hard work but very satisfying.

Those big modern tractors really are huge, especially on our narrow country lanes. I don't think I could handle one of them. Thanks for your comments.

Nice to see the 'baby' Allis Chalmers B being used for spraying....no safety precautions regarding spraying in those days.
Thank you for your videos
Subsidies are still there, only our stupid government choses to pay farmers to grow wild flowers instead of food
A subsidy is welfare. That's not a fair anything.
Would love to see longer videos of the farming

Lovely stuff.
Those old gaged wheels threw up some dust.
And to think even then we were saying "farmig is to intensive". Look were we are now!. 🤔😒😮💨...............
The big tractors of today are a bit scary when I'm out walking on country lanes. Don't think I could handle one of those.
Are you part of the farming family you filmed
I was a son-in-law of the guy you see mostly in the videos. Just helping out a few days a week where extra manpower was required.🐖🐖
Thinking a Norfolk farm , reg on the tractors PW , and old registration for east Anglia
You are thinking correctly, indeed it is Norfolk.
978 DPW🚜 still alive and taxed too 🙂
Wow, that's great news.
My dad had one of them
That was a good old tractor, it came to the farm brand new.
That super major is a 63 or a 64 a good 10 to 1-2 years old when filmed please try to get your facts right
well spotted, I assume you mean 10 to 12 years old.
What fact is wrong? Nobody said it was new
So you didn't pay too much attention in maths class at school...?
